LU football to scrimmage Nov. 9

The scrimmage will end the team's fall practices in preparation for the return of football for the 2010 season, the school's first since 1989.

The scrimmage will follow an offense-vs.-defense format, with a scoring system devised to reward the defense with points in ways other than touchdowns and safeties. The alternate scoring system is necessary because LU does not have enough players to fill two separate squads at all positions.[/quote]
