PN-G vs. Lamar Consolidated Predictions?/SETXsports Will Broadcast These Games!!

Recommended Posts

THis PNG team is by far the best team that has come out of the Reservation since '04.  Maybe not the best players, but the big word here is TEAM.  When one falters, the next guy picks them up.  They have worked that way all year long.  Great senior leadership, great underclassmen that follow the leaders.  In my book, this team is a winner, no matter how far they go in the play-offs.  It has been a pleasure to be a part of this group.

Go NDS!

I watched LCM vs Lamar Consolidated. LCM had their chances, but it wasn't enough.

LC can play. The SS is the lead off man, he's good and will not swing at a bad pitch, heck 1-9 for LC is one of the most patient teams with the bat I've seen. Can't remember a swing at a ball in the dirt much less one off the plate. They play solid defense, the outfield plays shallow on everyone. Heck , the threw out a runner at 1B from RF on a single, that's how shallow they play.

LCM hits a ball off the wall, perfect relay he's dead at 2nd because the relay was done perfect. The 1B is solid, made some great scoops and made the last out on one of the toughest plays for a !B, foul territory down the RF line.

PNG will win this series. Harrington and Rodgers will be a classic, both great pitchers. this will be a low scoring game. LC's No 2 doesn't throw hard maybe 78-79, but has a nasty split finger, he changes speed very well. The Head Coach calls pitches and is good at it. PNG I feel has the better deeper pitching.

One thing about Coach Stone, he has a knack for putting kids in the right spot. I seen Kane throw against Sulphur and was lights out, but he vanished after that. Then you get to one of the crucial games of the year and he throws him out there against Seven Lakes. Reyenga is a player, reminds me of Reese Guidry, he's going to be something. The Sweetingham kid has big time written all over him. I tell ya, the cupboard isn't dry over in Indian land.

Do you remember the Lamar National Little League team that went to Williamsport two years in a row from Richmond, Texas? The little league is in Richmond, Texas and they feed into Lamar Consolidated. I know it was just little league, but they were talented then and are still talented now. I believe a couple of them are on this team. I still think PNG takes this series as well in 3 games. Scalp'em

There is/are 6 of em still on the team...If the opportunity presents itself, the player you should intentionally walk is Randall Gruchik, the USA little league career home run leader. His niche is going yard.....I believe 14 this year. He's very good at it.. I'm BH. We played Lamer National in the 14-year old state junior league tourney...Beat 'em 7-6...and Gruchik was a beast. We met em' again last year in the Area round of the playoffs. Some how we swept them, 4-1 and 6-2. My son went the distance in the 6-2 game. His first comment afterwards..." I've never faced a team that...1 thru 9 can absolutely mash the ball. Kid vs. Grucik...kid w/ a strikeout, Gruchic w/ a no-doubt 400 ft. plus missile, kid/Gruchik w/ a hit by pitch... ;) Got to met Gruchik and his Dad....great people.

With all of that said, I'm stll going w/ the tribe in  3.

Good luck.

I know some of us have talked about it and Mitch has been sick and was still recovering from that. I am sure he will be seeing the mound soon.

Good luck tomorrow night and Friday against LC. I'll be pulling for the Indians to win it all........After our fiasco, the PNG Indians are my new team.  ;D ;D See ya tomorrow night.
