This game makes me nervous cuz we have a big target on our back and #4's. Newton made an adjustment at half and got thru our line. Ned will see that and try to copy. Like we said in the other topic. Cant be one dimensional too long.

WO-S 35 Nederland 7. Another year of no defense and offense will not move the ball much on WO-S. Gave up 300 rushing yards to WB. Probably give up about 350 to WO-S. Quickly discovering over the past few years, the Bulldog players are soft. They have all these starters back off a horrific team. They praised the JV and freshman teams. Did they all quit?  My take is they are not very good!

They have to throw the ball !! For whatever reason the OC chooses not to. The have a good wr group.that should give nederland problems if they throw the ball.if w.o throw the ball early and often things could get out of hand for nederland.

They calls got vanilla and timid way too early. 2 possesion game they're playing not to lose.

H said in the coaching school interview about the Sinton game. We threw twice. 1 TD 1 int. I told OC if u throw again I'm going to fire you <laughter> Because we knew they cant score. So get out of there and we'll stop them on defense. Lets get out if this and head back to dallas.

In reality Dugas was 5/8-132 1td 1int. The interception was in the 1st quarter. We won 28-3. But it sounded good. An old school Hooks saying

Keep the foot on the Gas. Right?

I see ole BigDog doesn’t like reality. I simply stated that all these folks were talking about how good they were going to be this year with all the returners and these tremendous players from the JV and freshman teams. However they forgot that when you continue to lose, you get that loser’s mentality. They were about as bad as you can get last year and after watching the WB game they are still pretty bad and if you think they can compete against a much better team than WB, maybe you came from the moon. It is great to be for your team and I applaud you for that, however I think one needs to be realistic about a team and a program that has been poor the past several years. Again they have not played good defense since Delbert Spell retired and that has been a few years!

I am a realist, what I am not is constantly, and I mean constantly negative about the whole team all of the time.  There is a difference.  Please go get some coaching experience and then apply for a job there if you can do better.

I wouldn’t call it being negative, I would call it being the truth. If that hurts your feelings , maybe you shouldn’t post. I take it giving up an average of about 40 points a game last year and 33 already this year is good defense. You might think so, but I sure don’t!

Lol.  I have been on this board from the start; way longer than you have, and a couple of other boards before this one.  Believe me, your not going to hurt my feelings.  But whatever personal axe you have to grind with the program or the coaches, you need to sort that out.   There is a difference between constructive criticism and just being negative about everything, and you haven't said a positive thing about anything on here.  You don't see me on here saying that Ned is going to win district or go deep in the playoffs but there are positives and negatives in every game especially when you have teenage boys playing.

Man that sounds familiar. Times have changed here in Mustang land. For better or worse it took a while to get it together. Im so happy they figured out some things. Honestly I do have reservations for December. Better get back there though

Bigdog, some people just enjoy being miserable...I say, "let'em, just not around me"...spider falls in this category...obviously we should take his commentary for what it's worth

on a serious note, I wonder what spider thinks the solution is?  He is full of questions and problems, but no answers
