I got Jasper in this one. I do think the new coaching staff will have Jasper significantly better and more prepared than last season. Now, I do not think they'll be on the top end of 4AD2 by any means, but I do think they'll beat EC. Jasper should have more all-around size and athletes on the field as they should. EC has a couple guys that can really go, but Jasper should field the average Jasper team this year which is normally a descent, respectable team. Who do I want to win? East Chambers!

I may stand corrected from my last comment. I did not know EC got a QB transfer from Barbers Hill, athlete from Port Arthur Memorial with D1 offers, and athlete back from Manvel with D1 offers. That's a big deal for a small school like EC. Jasper should have the advantage up front on both sides. Maybe it's a toss up. We'll see Friday.

In bold: He transferred to Memorial last year but went back to EC, was a stud at EC before he got to us.

He will be a bigtime standout at EC playing at the 3A level and now being an upperclassman. He was probably just another great athlete at PA Memorial that just blended in. He'll make a difference on both sides of the ball at EC.

Don't agree with the " he will be a stand out at the 3a level" if you can play you can play. Top 3a schools could play with 6a schools. #1 team in 6a has studs that moved in from 3a schools. Waco University stud RB couple years ago came from Mart.

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to do here? I never said that good individual 3A players couldn't go to a bigger school and play? I'm from Newton buddy and we have several kids every year that can go play at 90% of 6A teams. I'm not sure why you made that statement. However, the kid coming over from 5AD1 state semifinalist Port Arthur Memorial that holds several D1 offers will be a standout at East Chambers and the 3A level. They won't go win state by any means, but that kid will shine at this level. Top 3A schools could not play with TOP 6A teams, but yes, they can play with some of the worst 6A teams.

He's not coming "over" from PAM, right?  Could not be possible.  He lives in Winnie ISD, therefore giving him the ability to re-enroll back to EC and play right away without sitting out a year.  Unless you know something we do not?

I honestly know nothing about it and do not know much about EC. I've just read in different post the situation of him being "back". I'm not sure how all that eligibility stuff works.

Im sure I’m reading the part wrong where you said top 3A schools could play with 6A? Did you mean top 3A talent players could play at 6A level?

Ehh even then even the worst 6A teams are gonna be a issue depth wise vs a top 3A I’d imagine

Sadly that is likely not the case. Cleveland, for starters, would likely finish out of a playoff spot in a majority of 3A districts. Also, the lower performers in Fort Bend. They were absolutely dominated in games against EL Campo and Livingston in non-district both of whom were not remotely close to the top tier of 4A who we know the better 3A would compete well against.  There are some horrible inner city 6A teams. Some suit up less than 30 on varsity squads despite the school attendance numbers.

These schools are reference are not the norm, but they do exist.
