Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted yesterday at 01:48 AM Report Posted yesterday at 01:48 AM Will the 3rd time be the charm for Port Arthur Memorial to beat these guys? (Met in 2002 and 2003 1st game each season) RETIREDFAN1 and P.A Texas in da building 2 Quote

OlDawg Posted yesterday at 04:30 AM Report Posted yesterday at 04:30 AM I predict PAM’s gonna’ need to be a lot more disciplined. I don’t think they’ll be able to get by SV with all the penalties. I do think I read somewhere where one of SV’s RB’s (#3) was dinged up. Don’t quote me on it though. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
Matthew328 Posted yesterday at 05:25 AM Report Posted yesterday at 05:25 AM Smithson Valley's defense is very, very good..believe they brought back eight starters from the state title defense a year ago...they are sound, dont do much to beat themselves...you've got to beat them...... Offense isn't flashy, but they are efficient... Their special teams are outstanding Mr. Buddy Garrity and AledoAlumni 2 Quote
AledoAlumni Posted yesterday at 11:55 AM Report Posted yesterday at 11:55 AM Wouldn't shock me no matter the result. SV has experience and is the defending champion, but this PAM team has proven they can beat very good teams. If it's close in the 4th I'd take SV but I don't think it will be . PAM earns the right to play in Arlington. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
1970 Posted yesterday at 01:32 PM Report Posted yesterday at 01:32 PM Going with PAM, but like everyone else is saying, better watch the penalties in this game. BTW, I saw in the PA News last night that TCU did some good recruiting at PAM this season. Also TAM, UofH and others. Congrats to the 5 players getting some good scholarships. NDNWarrior Posted yesterday at 02:50 PM Report Posted yesterday at 02:50 PM I want the Titans to come out with the “W” but my gut tells me SV will get the win in a close one. Gonna have to go with SV on this one; hope I’m wrong. Quote
pakronos Posted yesterday at 04:00 PM Report Posted yesterday at 04:00 PM Heard from a PAM coach that one of their top players was ejected for targeting and gotta sit for a half. Quote
pakronos Posted yesterday at 04:03 PM Report Posted yesterday at 04:03 PM Last night was sloppy as in the false starts and offsides. Not saying we wasn’t holding at times but so was BH. So yes clean up the false starts and offsides. Tank PF was bs. That kid doesn’t do that, do the refs wasn’t calling a good game imo Quote

Yes a lot of the players was complaining about being held with no calls. How could you see it on one side and not the other. Twice they marched BH down the field with penalties. 🤔 SV should be a good game. They was the first team we played when we became the Titans and they killed us. Go get them. Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted 21 hours ago Author Report Posted 21 hours ago Just FYI: I contacted a Memorial coach and BH coach this afternoon and both confirmed no one got ejected from last night's game. Just wanted to clear that up. Enjoy the rest of yalls day. Quote
spidersal Posted 21 hours ago Report Posted 21 hours ago Super PAM run this year comes to an end vs SV. Just a much better coached team that plays defense. PAM has an excellent offense but not great on defense. I will be surprised if they get more than 21 on SV and probably give up at least 35 P.A Texas in da building and pakronos 2 Quote

I watch them play NB unicorns 😂 last night I believe if PAM secondary make the tackles in open space and don’t give up the deep ball when they take shots when they get a reason to of course. PAM has a great shot in this game. Tackle 22 we win. We have to cover everyone including the TE. Tackle, tackle, tackle!! Hold penalties to a minimum as well. PAM by 10 Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote

Saturday was the first time in awhile they gave up that many yards and points since game 2 of the season. Also this year, as a team, they did not get penalties like Saturday. Idk if the refs was calling ticky tack holding or actual holding. The false starts and offsides are very uncharacteristic. IMO, PAM run defense is one of the best in the state. Shut #22 down and we got a real shot. Also rb’s like him don’t do well against PAM defenses. He’s one of those bruising backs that you can’t let him gain momentum. Not saying he’s a Derrick Henry, but runs similar. Quote

Yep, I think the difference going to be the experience of our o line, the breakaway speed they haven’t dealt with and how Morgan adjusts to their defensive schemes bulldawg64 and Mr. Buddy Garrity 2 Quote

Austin1985 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago It's impressive that SV reloaded after losing 9 offensive starters. They also have a DE commited to SMU. #4 could play at any D1 programme in the nation imo. They will present a 4-4 look with a sound defensive line. They will run out of the Pistol with or without #4. #22 is equally capable. Special teams is sound across the board...... #4 also is their number 1 receiver...... This school handed PA their first loss in school history. They also gave PA a loss in it's 2nd season with J. Charles running wild. This is a full circle game and like finally beating Hightower after several tries, a program defining game...... Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote

They held their own versus Brennan. SV DL has 3 starters with D1 offers. LB also has D1 offers. There are only 3 players on the defense that don’t have D2 or better offers. Number 22 is not even there starting RB if you watch every game until the last 2. The defense is fast much more so that BH from what I can tell. The head coach has been there forever and deep playoff runs is the norm. This is the 4th time in 4 years they have been to this round. Lost in it once went to state 2 times. Brennan was one of their first games so I don’t put a lot into that. Brennan is also a 6a team that almost beat lake Travis in the playoffs. I think it is gonna be a heck of a game. Quote
