It’s been disgusting, what’s been revealed is a lot of disgusting people on this never were fans of all the players that made the program great, nor the school or the district. When they had the opportunity to enroll their kids in the district they said “ thanks but no thanks” they were fans, worshipers if you will, of the men who led the program for 40 years. Once they were gone, nobody is good enough to fill the hole that it left in their tiny Black Hearts and empty heads, unless they chose the person themselves . Nothing this current staff does is ever going to be good enough for them, and that’s fine, it’s actually refreshing that their little ANTI re not getting what they want 🤣 keep winning Mustangs, and these fools off

You need to stick to what you know and understand. WO-S didn't build a reputation by beating up on mediocre teams. WO-S has always had talented kids. The program elevated them to the highest winning percentage of any program in the state. The discipline and coaching elevated them to being one of the storied programs state-wide. The proof is in the pudding. You can look at the immediate drop and what happens when WO-S faces the elite competition that they used to bludgeon with conditioning.

You DO NOT get it. We aren't haters. We LOVE WO-S. We have A LOT of pride. We have high standards and didn't want to see the program fall. It has. By every objective metric, what was left in the cupboard shouldn't have looked like that. It has been beneath what we expect.

For your information I’m an ORIGINAL MUSTANG, you can’t tell me nothing about the school or the tradition. What’s obvious is you never were a fan of the program or the school, but of the 2 men that worship that led the program. Here’s how everyone can know what you’re full of and everybody who gets on here and spew the same trash as you do. Hooks and Thompson INHERITED a winning program, a District Champion, what did they do with it? Ran it in the ditch, they changed everything the program had been doing, went from district championship to dead ass last place in four years and to this date still have the worst single season record in WOS history 3 -7 Win One Soon…remember that???🙄 yes they went on to have great careers, but you know what? They were given grace and time to learn , to figure it out, to get it right. They changed multiple things over the years. Why don’t you explain, with your jaundiced understanding, why this current coaching staff doesn’t deserve the same grace that was given to them???? I can assure you that NOBODY thought Hooks or Thompson was great in 1983 , and they wasn’t predicting greatness for them !

Negative. Went thru WOS from 1st to 12th grade, supported them then and supported them the 41 years since I graduated. But there’s something about these teams now that don’t strike the fear and respect into other school like they used too. I can say I’ve heard that from first hand knowledge from contacts with many area schools. Wos is just “another” game on the schedule to them now. Whatever you call it, Mustang Magic, Mojo or what other “it” is these last 4 teams haven’t had it.

Then you clearly don't know your history. Cornell was at Stark before the merge and was an intergarl part of strength and conditioning from the very beginning. 1983 was a singular bad year with a lot of issues in the lockerroom. It wasn't lack of talent (I think Harold Green ended up at Oklahoma) or coaching and you could clearly see the ascent the next season as we gave eventual co-state champ french all they wanted. Back then we were 5A and whoever came out of our district routinely went to state.

Of ANYONE responsible for building that program, it was Cornell Thompson and the fact that you don't know that demonstrates your lack of understanding here.

 

(and honestly, Kerry Franks, Sr., practically single-handedly carried us to that District Championship in 1979. It sure wasn't Mccarty.)

Nothing new and same old what people are saying so it will not solved period! Why keep discussing and over and over since coach T left. 

This reason why I gave up my season holder for 24 years because simple it is not same atmosphere and environment people, so it is best for me to stop buying the season holder. 

It is not kids fault. It is too political even I don't have to read those message but it is my decision to read or not. 

Mustangs will always bleed blue and silver in my heart. I am sure that I am not alone. Go Mustangs!
