GCCISD

Sterling - 2,202

Goose Creek Memorial - 2,122

Lee - 1,773

This should put them all in 5A and I assume they will opt Lee up to D1.

Why does GCISD have Lee opt up?  Why not put them in 5A-D2 and give them an opportunity to compete with schools their size?  Give the coaches and kids a fair shot.

They may not opt them up. That's just an opinion.

If they do opt them up it puts all 3 schools in the same district with the same travel requirements plus two additional games in Stallworth.

Im really surprised they didn't add something in the rules to include something of that nature after the bc/hj+ deal

I hope the UIL deny the opt ups if BC/HJ+ tries to it again. We all know why they opted up, but at the end of the day the UIL allowed this to happen.

Side note: It would be kind of cool if there was no more d1&2 and just 4A. All of Orange County would be in a district. This would probably never happen but would be fun for Orange County (assuming OF will be 4a). I imagine this would help eliminate the problem of districts having teams that are hours apart statewide.

From what I hear HJ will not opt up again.

I was just going to mention this myself especially Shepherd.  I can easily see them going to the same district as Bellville.  Also if we have 10 locally teams in 4A-D2 just split them up into 5 teams or or have the easternmost SETX teams in one district and then have the west teams in another district (Shepherd, Tarkington, Liberty,) and add Hitchcock (assuming if they move up) La Marque and another team they can pull from the Greater Houston area.

Hitchcock turned in 573 they will for sure move up to 4ad2.

If you mean Houston ISD, NO NO NO. If you mean Humble ISD then Okay.

It won't be Humble ISD.  All of their schools are 6A, with the exception of Kingwood Park.  Lufkin has 5AD1 numbers

Then NO on the HISD, we would not accept that placing. I'd rather go back Region II before that happens.

On another note, thought everyone had until Nov 7th to turn in their enrollment?  Barbers Hill is still not posted. They are not the only ones that are not listed by DCTF list.
