Doing his research right now I’m sure to compare Lamar’s opponents and find some type of negativity. Stay tuned… Quote
navydawg31 Posted October 20 Report Posted October 20 I hope to see a packed house November 8th at Lamar for their home game vs SELA…. It’s going to be one of the biggest home games for Lamar in years. Pack the House! It’s going to be some great football played right here in SETX! myrecordwashorrible and AggiesAreWe 2 Quote
spidersal Posted October 20 Report Posted October 20 Lamar is playing well hope they keep it up Quote
TxHoops Posted October 21 Report Posted October 21 It starts at the top. Lamar athletics is where it is, first because Jaime Taylor is a University President who believes in the value of athletics. And he went out and found an ELITE AD in Jeff O’Malley. Rossomando was not sitting under our noses and at the time was a “who’s that?” hire. O’Malley went across the country and found a program changer. Hopefully we can keep all of them for a while. navydawg31, myrecordwashorrible and Mr. Buddy Garrity 3 Quote

snakehead26 Posted October 25 Report Posted October 25 Lamar beats Northwestern State 41-14 - as they should have. I saw Coleman played at QB this week. I know McCown got his bell rung at the end of the UTRGV game. Anybody hear if he had some kind of lingering injury? Quote

Great win, dominated all 3 phases of the game… statement win for sure with another coming up this week… Not sure on McCown injury status… Quote
spidersal Posted October 26 Report Posted October 26 Outstanding win by the Cardinals. It’s been many years since they have started this well. Two very tough games left on regular season and conference schedule. SE La and SFA are going to be tough. They must 1st play well at UIW I hope they continue to play well Quote
spidersal Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 Lost a tough one today but will have a good record. 8-4 possibility. They should beat McNeese, however I don’t see them beating SELa or SFA if they couldn’t beat UIW Quote
baddog Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 They may never win another game. The possibility is there. TxHoops 1 Quote

AggiesAreWe Posted Sunday at 01:02 AM Report Posted Sunday at 01:02 AM Had a hell of tailgate today. I smoked a pork butt and 3 racks of spare ribs. Started on that butt at 11pm last night. Ribs at 6am. Was awesome along with that Lamar win. navydawg31, BEARCPA, Mr. Buddy Garrity and 1 other 4 Quote
spidersal Posted Sunday at 01:04 AM Report Posted Sunday at 01:04 AM Wow way to go Lamar. I missed this one and glad they won. I just didn’t think they could beat SELa after getting beat by UIW. Glad they proved me wrong. They should beat McNeese and I hope they can win at SFA this week. It is going to be tough. 8-2 now is very good baddog and myrecordwashorrible 2 Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted 3 hours ago Author Report Posted 3 hours ago FCS playoff projections. The 3 sites that seem to have been doing this for a few years at least are Hero Sports, College Sports Madness (CSM) and Sports Illustrated (SI). Hero has SFA (1st round host as the 15th seed), Lamar and SELA all in the playoffs. CSM has SFA and Lamar in and both traveling for the first round. SI has SFA (1st round host as the 12th seed) and Lamar in the playoffs. SELA is the first teamed listed of the bubble teams left out. Based on some of the lower seed projected host teams schedules there is a good chance for 1 or 2 of those teams to sustain a loss in the final weeks. Also, with SFA being a projected host in 2 of 3 projections, a win over SFA may have Lamar with a very good shot at hosting a first round playoff game. A loss and well...it may put them out of the playoffs entirely. SFA has dominated several opponents that were a struggle for Lamar to hold off for the wins. Wait, see, and hope. Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago A win over SFA and Lamar is definitely in and quite possibly hosting. A close loss and they are on the bubble. A significant loss and I believe they are out. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote

A close loss and they are on the bubble. A significant loss and I believe they are out. Odd scenario with a close loss to SFA and a win over McNeese. Do you root for or against SELA winning out? If SELA wins out it makes your win over them carry more weight, but they finish 2nd in conference and Lamar is 3rd. A loss by SELA would leave Lamar tied and holding the tiebreaker. The fact the conference appears to be a 2 bid league makes me think an SELA loss is better for Lamar even if it takes away from the win over them. AggiesAreWe 1 Quote
