Orangefield at Hardin -Friday 9/26

Two heavyweights going toe to toe this Friday in Hardin.  Last year saw the Bobcats get the best of the Hardin Hornets, 0-59.

Are the results different this year, or do the Bobcats stay atop the hill in this 3-way battle for the district championship. 

Thoughts?

Definitely going to be different. OF is still the favorite but Hardin is good enough to be within an OF "off night" to change the outcome.

Personally, I believe the Hornets will win this game, 27-21.

This will be Hardins first real challenge this year.    Orangefield goes up by 2 touchdown in the first. Starts trying to run up the middle to run the clock. It doesnt work Hardin gets the ball in good field position ties it up before the half 14-14 before the half. Hardin score early in the third for the go ahead 21-14 Orangefield wakes up and doesn’t look back 42-21 Orangefield.

Or since it’s district Orangefield just walks away with it from the get go 35-10

This game is a tough one.

Hardin isn't the same Hardin as it was last year, their QB, RB and wr are pretty good.  Defense is pretty quick

OF defense has to show up and the offense needs to get the QB rolling!

As much as I'd like to see Hardin pull it off.. I think their cupcake preseason schedule pays dividends this week.  I'll take OF 27-20.

First paragraph sounds like the BC game. Hopefully a different ending.

Yes sir that's what I was getting at, its also what we seemed to do against St.Louis Catholic. St Louis just wasn't as good as BC or that game would've ended very similar. OF needs to put the gas pedal to the floor and not slow up when we are only up by 2. Keep passing and bouncing the run outside. Linemen this year are better at pass protection but slow off the line for running plays so the inside run has been shutdown against a larger DL.

Slight adjustment.  After careful thought and consideration, I have now decided the OF Bobcats will take this one by 1.

A missed PAT will be the difference or perhaps a late 2 point conversion.

Yea. This district doesn’t convert far in football. Hopefully that changes

Hardin is good but OF will be to much. OF-42  Hardin- 21

Both teams are better than they were last year. Not sure how I see Hardin making up the 59-point deficit from last season. I think it'll be a good game, but I also think OF pulls away some in the second half.

I agree.

Hardin will have to play keep away with their offense to help their defense.
