Praise the Lord.  With every resource available to literally every single coaching staff in existence, it's blatantly obvious that the WV coaching staff ditched all of those and finally reached out to the setxsports fan forum for some actual advice.  Anyone that says that the very conversations had on this site along with reverting back to the ultra success of youth football weren't completely responsible for this win, then they are a liar.

I even have it on good authority that there was actually a peewee coach in the press box with headsets.. giving the entire staff personnel suggestions.

Thank goodness.  One can only hope that the WV head coach will continue to lean heavily on the words spoken in this very website... as anyone with a brain knows that this is the gospel in terms of football knowledge.

They made good adjustments. Not the adjustments I thought they should have made but definitely better than last week. Also AP isn't good as OF

I have no doubt that the evidence of your approval shown in this post will be blown up, printed, and hung in the coaches' office.

Decent game for the eagles tonight. Still not the exact group of guys I would prefer on the defensive front but they were definitely positioned better than last week for the most part. Still struggled to stop the run especially first half but turned up the intensity and took over on both sides of the ball at the beginning of the second half. Let up a little by the end of the third but we're able to finish semi strong. Babin looked great. Connection between him and Tolar looks improved and even better than last year. Also seen a very nice TD grab from Shird. I had forgotten how good that kid was a couple years ago on jv. Harris at safety with Kelly and Mitchell at CB looked like a good group in the secondary second half. Really like the energy Mitchell plays with. Be interesting to see how next week turns out. Coldsprings has a tough, hard running QB, a big OLine from what I hear, and a decent coach in my opinion. We'll see how the defense holds up against them.

I will be watching this game very closely. I expect it to be a good one and also wondering how Coldspring is going to compare to Orangefield. They put up a heck of a fight last year and with the big boys upfront that may be a problem for Orangefield. I can see them matching up better than others in the district.

Don't think CS will be much comp for OF honestly but next week vs WV might be competitive.

Might want to learn more about the teams in the district.

I feel pretty confident in my knowledge of the teams in the district. I nailed the order early last year in my picks for this district as well.
I expect the same order as last year the only unknown is Hardin with a lot of returners who played well against Westwood Palestine In Bi district. But I expect Coldspring to control the clock and win that one.

Orangefield

EC

CS

Hardin.

They were the only challenger last year in district. They matchup well against Breaux’s offense and defense. I hope you are right. I like a really good hard fought game but I’d like to keep a good 2 touch down lead for my nerves.

“Last year” has nothing to do with “this year”. CS does not have their best/most valuable player from last year and they have an entire new coaching staff. They will be running a completely different offense. CS will be able to beat Kelly and probably Buna. Everything else will be a major question mark. No chance they compete with OF

Control the clock?? Isn't that what Hardin does?

I guess that game will be done in an hour and a half.

I'm taking Hardin in that one.

Last year they also lost their best player in the Orangefield game. And he was out for a game or two after that and they still came in third last year. I don’t agree that last year has nothing to do with this year. If there are remnants from last years teams there’s experience and skill returning.

Last year they did. This year though, it just may be that they are playing teams like Warren, they don’t seem to be trying the short gains like they have in the past. This is just from the little bit I’ve watched of their games this year.
