Rumor is BH got their guy. Next week they will announce it.

If true, they got A guy. I've heard of at least 4 different "their guys" turning down the job, and that's just what we know about. I'm also real curious about this hiring process.

Yeah let me try and find it again, It was yesterday when I saw it. Interesting enough a lot of what’s discussed during this thread was brought up… but more.

I did see remember someone say when the head THSCA president turns down your job that has better facilities and a lot more pay says a lot about your school district…

Thank you. Its incredible to read any positive commentary about BH on SETXSports. BH is, after all the mosted hated and critiqued school/program/team in SETXSports history. So much of it is so stupid and wrong, but whatever, its just outsiders making noise.

Bitter? Unless they got our guy, I could not care less who they get or don’t get. I will say this is certainly an interesting thread to read, but I can understand while you BH folks have your hackles up about it.

I could care less who BH hires. I don’t have kid in district any longer. You made a dig at my comment about BH got their guy and you had to throw out how 4 others turned them down who was their guy. Who knows if that’s true and who cares, but you were trying to be sarcastic.

I am hearing the Vandegrift HC is back in the mix.

Always someone who thinks—despite all evidence to the contrary—things will be different for them.

My brother lives in Steiner Ranch. Feeds into Vandegrift. Niece & nephew graduated from Vandegrift. Barbers Hill is nothing like that area.

Barbers Hill is like Deer Park. The Vandegrift/Lake Travis area is on a different level from many aspects.

I lived in Cedar Park for a few years.

Different dynamics, to say the least.

Is Cedar Park a lot like Crosby?

Expand

No. Cedar Park is similar to Lake Travis. A fairly high income community. Most of the suburbs west & north of Austin are above average income. Think Woodlands and Houston.

Barbers Hill-income wise—is similar to Lake Travis & Cedar Park. But, the communities are very different after that. Activities, scenery, shopping, culture, restaurants. etc. are way more abundant in Austin suburbs. You can walk or bike to almost anything you want to do. If used to that, Mt. Belvieu isn’t even comparable.

Demographics wise, all are close. Each suburb has areas that are higher end. Steiner Ranch for example (Vandegrift) is in the 1.5+ neighborhood as far as housing.

In Westlake, that would be bottom rung.

Pretty sure it was a bait about the Crosby Coach but that's a great rundown.

Not as different as Cedar Park is from Mont Belvieu.

OK, Westlake and SLC are single most affluent areas in the state. PNG is not close to them and is lower than BH. The "dynamics" disparity did not impact Joseph and it will have nothing to do with the success of BH next coach.

I'd be careful placing all the blame on the super, from what I understand there were off the field issues that may have brought this on.

Worse than being jailed for failure to cooperate with law enforcement, or sending out highly derogatory tweets about other local school districts & towns?

Because, apparently, those are okay...
