Baytown Sterling : 0

Sterling 10 run ruled tonight after losing Tuesday night to BC with C. Fall pitching a perfect game. This makes numerous losses now for the rangers going back before the BC game. The Sterling head coach and asst coach look confused, and they don’t seem to have any answers to fix the losing, yet they have talent on the team. That regime has lost for several years with no signs of climbing out.  As a fan that has a family member who plays for that  program it gets tough to watch. The only positive of that program is the JV coach who is new this year and who is nothing short of amazing. He has absolutely nothing to work with as far as true softball talent goes, but he makes them competitive…and yet I am told his assignment is to hold an Ipad during the varsity game.  Hoping for a turnaround there and a season that can be salvaged.

Pew Research released on Apr. 30 a report exploring support for presidential candidates sorted by religious affiliation. The poll found that 55% of Catholics support or lean towards supporting former President Donald Trump in a head-to-head against Biden. Conversely, only 45% of Catholics support Biden in the same one-on-one pairing. The 12% margin of support in favor of Trump marks a significant shift from 2020, when he held an extremely narrow lead — 50% to 49%. Biden currently leads among Hispanic Catholics with a narrow 49%-47% split, but the close contest marks a major shift rightward for the demographic. In 2020, a similar poll from Pew Research found Hispanic Catholics preferred Biden to Trump with a staggering 67%-26% split.
    • You said a lot there. Truthfully, that is the root of the issue. Who cares what a kid thinks about how coaches are running a program? Kids play, coaches coach. For some reason, parents have this backward in a lot of places and its wreaking havoc.
    • He's already stated he's a huge Clinton fan.
    • If the red hat fits, wear it.    It helps the rest of us figure out who the morons are before they open their mouths and make it obvious.
    • Coaches can't be in the dugout to coach, but the coaches are setting the schedule. The coaches are organizing it. The coaches are setting the lineup in advance. The coaches are determining who is pitching and how many pitches they are throwing. Fall baseball is like 7 on 7. The coaches may not be calling he pitches or the plays, but they are in "control" of the situation and they are present and "observing."
