Hats off the defense! They played their hearts out and deserve the credit for keeping us in this game (Held Kilgore to 7 for over 30 minutes). The DC did a fantastic job and had the right formation dialed in for most of the night. Multiple tackles for loss in the back field against a team who's only been bested by some awesome programs. Amir has the potential to be something special.

On the offense side of the ball Morris was Morris and took on the duty of carrying 90 percent of the offense gains. The QB is now going to play baseball.

With more than a dozen starting underclassmen and the self destruction of the other West Orange county team, we should have a great year in 2023 and beyond.

The greatest fault of the '22 season is very similar to what happened in '21. If the leader of the offense ain't cutting it physically or on his performance, you must find someone who will. I hope the coaching staff will stumble upon that realization after the second year in a row its reared its head.

End of the story. You will be missed Class of '22.

Honestly, there just weren’t enough tools in the bag.

What does the “second year in a row” part mean?

    • Tim Erickson from Orangefield….
    • Lucky for Orangefield there’s only 3 games max to play.    Someone said they had a pitcher or 2 throw 90’s but I don’t know that for a fact.  Rumors.   it appears that Orangefield will see some faster pitchers this round. Generally speaking I haven’t been too impressed with Orangefield opponents pitching. Only pitcher so far that was fast (92 mph) was vs Woodville in first game & Orangefield got several runs off of him.    Looking for a good series with no injuries for both teams.
    • Apologies if this is a stupid question, but why would they just not renew his contract for the 24/25 school year if he had multiple write-ups? I know teachers and paraprofessionals don't get their contract renewed if their performance is bad enough - are coaches' contract situations different?

    • It’s very difficult to fire an educator.  It’s not difficult to reassign them and put them in a situation where they’re likely to leave on their own.  I’m not sure of the legality of exposing an employee’s work records, but it seems likely it’s not allowed if nothing criminal took place.
