I think I have figured out these retirement moves to la. ย If you retire in Texas you cannot teach or coach for one year in Texas but that does not apply to Louisiana. Assist.supt. From Newton retired and. went straight to merryville La. just as Brian later did.ย

So do you think they come back to Tejas after a year ?

Foreman???? Alvarez??? Bronson??? Who else? This thing is wide open it seems! With Hickman taking over WOS will Foreman apply? Sure going to be interesting!!! I personally am a fan of the Alvarez or Bronson hire!ย

Agreed. Foreman is well regarded down in Orange and I think he knows how good a job Jasper is, but Alvarez wins everywhere he goes and Bronson is going to get a HC job somewhere soon. Either one would be good for us and both know the program.ย

If Alvarez wants to job, itโ€™s his. ย  Keep Bronson as the DC, and great things will happen. ย  Coach A knows how to build a program, and take a program thatโ€™s already solid to the next level.

ย

Heโ€™s always had great DCโ€™s. ย Bryan Barbay, Vanya, hired WT away from Newton. ย  Bronson would learn wonders from Jack and benefit from coaching under him as he did Coach Barbay.

ย

All assuming Alvarez even applies of course. ย  But that would be a great combo.

Alveraz and WT were roommates in college.

Sure enough. ย  Best friends. ย  I believe another one of their teammates was Gus Malzahn. ย  Or maybe Gus went to high school with Coach A.

ย

Was it Henderson St or Ark Tech? ย  The Wonder Boys has to be the worst mascot in college sports!

Henderson state I think 1986-1988.

I think you're right. Coach Alvarez came to Jasper as an assistant in either '89 or '90 when I was a student. We had a fun coaching staff in those days and he was a great guy when I knew him. I haven't seen him in almost 30 years, but I would be thrilled if he came back to lead the Bulldogs.

    • What is Biden putting them through? 401ks are rocking. Everybody that wants a job has one. Wages are up. No wars.ย  ย  And a POTUS they donโ€™t hate.ย  ย  Trump does a great job of motivating his base. But he does an even better job of motivating THE OTHER GUYโ€™S base. There arenโ€™t going to be millions of people saying โ€œyou know, I voted Biden last time because I was sick of trumpโ€ฆ. And since Trump left, everything has gotten better. I think Iโ€™ll vote for Trump next time. He doesnโ€™t bother me as badly as he used to.โ€ I fact, I doubt that there are any.ย  ย  Biden wonโ€™t drive people to the polls to vote Biden. Heโ€™s a horrible candidate. But Trump motivates MILLIONS to get out and vote โ€œanybody but Trump.โ€ ย Thatโ€™s just facts, and no amount of mean tweets is gonna fix that for Trump.
    • Not my first one, which has yet to be addressed. MAGA appears to support a Communist dictator while accusing the Democratic Party of turning America Communist. Itโ€™s either misdirection or bait-and-switch, both tactics losers fall for.
    • I think Franklin would be the considered the favorite based off ranking and record. I think most would agree we prefer being the underdogs anyway. Orangefield has played much better since getting everyone back however, and I think it should be a good matchup. ย It will be a fun series, with a chance to go to state on the line!ย

    • So whatโ€™s the writing on the wall, Trumpโ€™s huge crowds, polls showing him leading, maybe youโ€™re referring to the dismal job this administration is doing but no one will care. No, youโ€™re writing on the wall is 2020 and you canโ€™t seem to comprehend that folks may be tired of what this administration is putting them through. But we do know youโ€™re a guy that canโ€™t seem to deal with the current state of affairs and stays in perennial armchair quarterback mode.
