Are those in any order?

Crockett would be my favor just slightly over coldspring.

Crockett, Coldspring, Academy and Diboll would be my top 4. Need to take a look at the brackets to see who may eliminate one another before regional tourney.

Academy won the Tenaha tourney.

Coldspring was up by 4 at the end of 3 the first game. They were up by 10 the second time. Crocket cranked up the D in the fourth quarter both times. That’s not a coincidence. Crocket is as good as they are largely because of their defense and the “big guy” is a major part of that. He had 6 blocks that second game so if your claiming he didn’t effect the game your delusional

He had 23 points and 14 rebounds and 2 blocks the first matchup. He had 7 points, 17 rebounds, 2 steals, and 6 blocks the second matchup. Regardless of how clumsy you think he is or he may be you can’t honestly say he’s not effective.

Coldspring averages around 70 or 80 points a game. They’ve only had 4 games where they scored below 60. 2 of those were against Crockett. Funny how they haven’t beat themselves against anyone else but Crockett lol.

They play district opponents three times?

Idk anymore. Looking at one maxpreps shows yes, the other shows no. Standing show Academy hasn’t lost but scores show they have a loss and even on hoopinsider is shows them undefeated in standings but a loss in the games.

🤷🏻‍♂️

I've seen them both play a few times. Diboll and Crockett both will out coach coldspring and beat them. Similar athletes and physicality. Give the nod to the better coaching.

Judging by these comments im not so sure if any of you have seen Diboll play, but i have multiple times. For you to say Diboll will out coach anyone is ridiculous. That coach sits on the bench and watches the game lol

Maybe he does his best coaching during preparation/practice times

    • I don't think it is overly hyped.. I am seeing less and less multi-sport kids when it can all be prevented.. A coach teaches l loyalty, work ethic, comradery, integrity, perseverance, etc.. to get kids to buy into their program. They talk about brotherhood and doing what is best for their community.... But some mean all of this  just for football... Kids see into this double standard and will quit.. either while on the field or off...  drives me crazy!!  and again... I work with these kids.. they tell me what they think.. so you can agree or disagree.. its their point of view!!
    • Hmm..... I tend to disagree. I was a multi sport athlete in High School and am now a coach. Kid is not going to be a very good hitter if he only hits in the spring and summer, I took BP and threw (to keep my arm in shape) during football and basketball season. Kid is not going to be a very good QB, WR or DB if he only throws passes, runs routes or covers receivers in the fall or during a few 7 on 7 games after baseball is over. And a kid is never going to be good shooter of the basketball if he only shoots during the basketball season. Skills are honed, not mastered, they need to be developed and practiced repeatedly.
    • and I'll concede that this is more realistic.  but a good AD can make football the primary focus without messing with the success of other sports.
    • but they're 10-3 this year.  playoffs in basically everything except boys and girls basketball, which i mean, that's understandable.  and from what I'm hearing, the different programs feel supported over there.  which is kind of the point of the athletic director.  It's not the football director.
    • Would you rather have multi-sport athletes doing drills during school that are being ran/controlled by coaches or have kids playing fall ball with little to no supervision?!?!?
