*BC 4 HJ 2 Final/Tuesday*

Recommended Posts

Im going to have to AGREE with that SteelerCrzy, Even though it always happens it's just a sign of weakness towards the teams fans that are saying it. For example last night HJ fans tellin Stringer "he sucks and Lamar made a mistake by picken up him" that is a sign of someone being intimidated by an apposing team. Because they knew he was better and he was gonna shut them down!  ;)

If you think the HJ fans are "bad" at the baseball games, you should've been at their basketball games. Just because you like to sit and watch and be quiet, doesn't mean others do the same thing. There will always be some bad-mouthing, especially among the student body.

Stringer didnt shut anyone down. HJ had 7 hits off of him. Treece let up fewer hits than Stringer and had more Strikeouts. So saying that Stringer shut hj down would be a false call.

Stringer had 11 k's treece had 10. Might want to read up on your stats before posting pal. Stringer won, bottom line. (Stringer is also going to Lamar where is Treece going?)

40water, have fun sitting at home while Stringer and BC are playing some more baseball.

stringer did have one more than treece but also pitched a full inning more than treece so strikeouts is not the area to make a judgement..because chances are treece would have ended up with more..the bottom line is Dishon is the winning team..all the way from the point he came down with treeces ball that is a gapper against any body else...and then steps up and delivered when everyone expected him too...Final HJ 2 - Dishon 4

Hate to call you on this one....but Dishon could not and did not win the game by himself, it takes 9 to make a TEAM.  On a side note.....wonder what his BA is?

True.  Dishon hit the ball that scored the runs, but he didn't put the other three guys on base.  Also, Stringer held the HJ hits to a minimum.  Dishon will be the FIRST to tell you that he didn't win the game, that it was and always will be a team effort.  That just isn't how he thinks.

OK....it is time to move on.  The game was a great game between two good teams.  Both teams made good plays, both pitchers went toe to toe and had great games, and hitters on both sides did a good job of battling for their respective teams.  The game was very even and very close as it should have been between two playoff quality teams.  It is a shame one of them had to lose.  That is the way high school baseball should be played.  Good luck to both teams this Friday and the rest of the season.

excuse me they were typos and i just fixed them

Unfortunately, you didn't fix your inability to type a sentence correctly. Capital letters belong at the beginning of a sentence, (i) is just a letter unless it is capitalized, and there are little things called commas and periods.  ;D

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
