I see them beating Elkhart and Crockett.  Crockett barely squeezed by them last year by 8 I think?  Westwood is another W IMO.  That's 3-3 and maybe can squeak by Oakhurst.

Not beating Crockett.

Crockett started a ton of Sophomores and still beat Trinity last year. Trinity may be improved next season but so will Crockett.

There is a reason the "hometown Hero" left people.

Not personal at all.

I just know that some very deserving coaches got overlooked in the hiring process a couple years ago, because the "Hometown Hero" was coming back to save the day.

Kinda sad to leave those kids after only 2 years.

Did Droddy get another job?

You didn't say guess in this post (hence the one I quoted you in).. you said "there is a reason the hometown hero left people "  that implied to several of us that you were saying he left on his own.

It would to a coach looking at applying. He was a hometown guy. Coming back home. If he left on his own after only 2 years, it reads there are admin problems, lack of athletes,  etc. If was let go, that's a whole different story.

The people who are applying for this job know the following: Trinity was 6-15 over the last two years and that the coach that they are applying to replace is out the door two years after he took over.  I think that should be enough to have an applying coach be eyes wide open to the fact that he is probably not going to enter into an ideal situation

I hear what you'e saying. But isn't the whole point of these type message boards to learn information on job openings, schools, etc this time of year?

And if someone has that information, fine.  But you keep pestering a poster who has mentioned on multiple occasions he does not know whether or not Droddy left on his own accord.

He doesn't know and repeatedly asking him if he knows ain't gonna change that.

    • It's common knowledge that this sort of thing happens on ranches.  I'd be willing to bet more people than not in this forum have had to do it.  That said, she's an absolute moron for putting it in a book, period.  The act of killing the dog can be justified, but publicizing it is inexcusable for someone in her position.  I honestly have no clue what she was thinking.
    • There are times when certain things are appropriate, and when they are not.  We can agree to disagree on the appropriateness of star baseball players doing contact football drills in the days leading up the baseball playoffs.
    • are you suggesting that if the football coach runs spring drills then the kids won't play fall ball without supervision?  Because if not, this argument has no relevance.  One doesn't take the place of the other.  one the AD has control of, the other he just tries to.
    • I don't think it is overly hyped.. I am seeing less and less multi-sport kids when it can all be prevented.. A coach teaches l loyalty, work ethic, comradery, integrity, perseverance, etc.. to get kids to buy into their program. They talk about brotherhood and doing what is best for their community.... But some mean all of this  just for football... Kids see into this double standard and will quit.. either while on the field or off...  drives me crazy!!  and again... I work with these kids.. they tell me what they think.. so you can agree or disagree.. its their point of view!!
