Barbers Hill @ Dayton

Dayton has given up 76 first half points the last 2 games but only 6 second half points the last two games combined including shutting out CK the second half. Never seen anything like it. Oh well I'm ready for Friday and can't imagine a scenario where Dayton doesn't get the W at home against BH. Dayton by 21

That is some weird stats. Almost like the defensive coordinator doesn't know what to do until he has seen a half of football. Looks like they need better pre-game prep.

Will be the same game plan every week for the hill.....try to control the clock,  hold on to the ball (especially in 2nd half) keep defense off the field. Their secondary play is not very good right now. Gage better be able to make an adjustment at half as well.....don't think they got a first down in the 2nd half against Crosby last week and turned the ball over 3 possessions in a row. Their kids will fight though( some literally ) and I think they will keep it close. It will not as close as 2 years ago, but won't be as bad as last year.....Dayton wins by 14

Crosby and Dayton has our number. BH will find it hard winning many games this year, because like last year, they can't hold on to the ball. The last several years, turnovers have killed us. I don't see it any better this Friday night. BH will turn the ball over 4 or 5 times and get beat by 3 TD's. We don't have the quick strike capability with this offensive scheme. Once we get behind, we are in trouble. Oh well, good luck BH and pull off the upset!

It wouldn't be shocked either way in this game. Dayton could win by 50 or BH by 1 :) Dayton traditionally is hard to figure out in what kind of team they have or could have by the end of the year. Dayton could get beat by BH this week then take out Crosby the next then squeak into the playoffs and go 4 rounds...LOL.... For Dayton fans it must be a fun ride each year..... Try some constancy like us run, run, fumble, run ;)

The Hill always plays Dayton tough they're always well coached and whlile Gadge runs old school offense he  gets 100% out of his players. My BH work buddies say this years ants on the Hill are quick & fast and they will chunk the ball more often than previous years.. The Hill hung with #2 state ranked Crosby for a half( not trying to discount the myriad of excuses from pluseone) and now go up against "not ranked in the top 100" Dayton ! anything can happen - Go Bronco's

Halfway way home to where? Don't sweat it I will float you a loan when Dayton makes the playoffs.

There you are thought you were on some kinda "watch"!! Ain't happenin' this year, y'all let that "pride" get in the way of logic. Do some homework next time and realize that highschool football is a game of WINDOWS. Any given year down teams can rise to the top of the heap. Dayton might even not be the fifth seed could possibly fall to the sixth!!

Go Crosby!!

Sorry for the late response  just ate some Los Compadres. Did you just say Dayton could drop to 6th place? Dang dude you really ate up with the Bronco envy. Oh well I'm tired and your responses bore me. Night night plus one. The loan stands if needed no need to get a payday loan when ole Pride would help you out.

I agree with BHFan on this one; however, I'm probably leaning more toward that  Bronco win by fairly big numbers.  Run, run, run, fumble, run isn't a very promising theme, especially against the scoring potential that Dayton has.

As for as another HC...doesn't matter.  BH will be accused of dissing another good coach, or paying too much for one, or spending too much on a practice barn, or any other myriad of "just hate the Hill" type comments because it's the Hill.

Finally BG, I would love to know the real reason for the 'sticker in your drawers' about the Hill.  No need to post it here, pm me or something.  For the life of me, I try to glean just a little from every anti-Hill comment coming from you over there.  I mean I get it I guess.   Sometime you just hate something for no reason at all, you just do.  But I'm dying to know what ills the school, the people, the town or whatever has blighted your soul so bad with regards to the Hill....LOL   Seriously pm me please, I'd like to have serious conversation - ok, serious no, but genuine, yes!!!

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
