CROSBY vs ANGLETON

Recommended Posts

Well, when we slaughtered PNG a few years ago in Barbers Hill y'all's side wasn't much more than halfway full. That's after fans combined that the stadium was too small.

If I was a PNG fan I would try to make as many games as possible too. With a .500 win percentage the last few years you don't get to attend many sure W's.

I do remember that chat around that game too....."BH stadium is too small for the traveling PNG fans......since Crosby won't fill up their side we will just have to move over there too".  That must have been an off night for the fans.

Man I didn't know they had purple clown hair in the 60's. You photoshopped these 3A fans. Well I do see a few flower children though. Good times much simpler free love times. I noticed the Ford disclaOmer at the bottom did you go by FordNDN back then. No wonder the Edsel failed!!

Crosby does not pack the home stadium, huh . I have been going to just about every home game for the last several years and if you don't get there early you may not get a seat. I remember going to the playoff game against Hutto, in San Marcus, driving down I-10 and almost every car I passed had Crosby fans in it. Crosby filled the bottom level of that stadium and they had to open the next level. Man that was a great game.

Ned must not have true fans then. Only times I've really seen the stadium packed was at their home games. I've seen Ned play three playoff games and there were seats to be had every time. Even in 2013 on Crosby's small visitors side Ned didn't pack it.

You're not going to see the biggest crowds when we play Ned because it's not really viewed as a marquee game. Ned is 1-5 against Crosby and has lost the last 3 games by a combined 43 points. If that was a different story you'd see a different type crowd.

The game against Georgetown at Berry Center was full on our side, they had people standing up the whole game.  Probably depends on a lot of things including what else is going on and weather, but we travel just fine thank you.

Here's a novel (not a book in this case) idea,  worry about Dayton and not how Crosby travels. I know it's boring in MC but there should be something else To do than worrying about why Crosby doesn't travel to the Bermuda Triangle. You fellas had your chance(s) and blew it. You remind me of that pitcher that gives up a rocket line drive single and tries numerous pickoff moves to first to no avail. Why try so hard after the whoppin? Move on and get the next batter bro!!

The absence of any Angleton poster tells me they might be down this year they usually have a couple of posters on this site. Angleton always has decent run defense I dont think  they can put enough points on offense to keep up with the Coogs (they like to run to much).I think Crosby wins easily.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
