So.... This Donald Trump Guy..

I'd still rather have Trump than wackos like Santorum or Walker. They set the GOP back a solid 50 years with their social policy views.

A fiscal conversative / social liberal would win in a landslide.. Unfortunately neither party will ever back that candidate.

Trump is as close to fitting that bill as anyone.

Meanwhile the Dems put all of their eggs in one basket, a woman that is almost 70 (coincidentally almost the exact same age as Ronald Reagan who the Dems said was too old to be a president) and who at the moment appears to be falling apart. To counter her possible demise the Dems have a 73 year old avowed socialist and a 72 year old vice president who is not in the race but people might be begging him as a last resort.

I am sure there are plenty of young energetic Democrats out there but they were shoved aside in what was supposed to be a coronation of the new queen.

..... and the Dems are crowing about the GOP getting a bad deal?

and thats after going bankrupt four times

I believe he said he has never personally gone bankrupt.  But, some of his company's have.  But, new tobie, have you ever researched how many jobs Trump has created for people?  And when -- IF -- you do, get back with this forum and tell us how that compares to how many jobs obama has created in his life time!

lol...I guess the crowing is a coping mechanism for their situation.

I heard the same thing about Reagan. I had a good friend that was almost in tears one day because her teacher told her that Reagan looked like he was going to win and we would soon by in WWIII.

Quite to the contrary, I think he prevented WWIII, ended the Cold War and shut up Libya when he bombed them after they supported terror attacks.

It is my opinion that people will more likely attack you if they think you are weak and especially if they think you won't hit back. Kind of like..............

Far be it for me to defend Donald Trump in anything, but I was going to say something similar. We need more of a "f*ck you" attitude with the Russians - maybe not as much as Trump has, but a lot more than any of the Democrats have. That's the only thing Putin understands.

I think everyone can keep taking their jabs at Trump and calling him a clown, but I believe this is his strategy. Gotta admit it is working. Negative press increases popularity better than good press. Don't know how good a president he would make. Could it be any worse? I think he will tone it down like he said. It really wouldn't surprise me if he did win.

Guns will always be an issue and if anyone has read any of my posts on this subject, you know that Trump is on he same track as me.

This is the hidden content, please

Yes its not even close again I'm sure they'll feel confident running any three in a general election against Trump. Trump says everything he knows people like to hear. When the top dogs start using money in form of ads. Its going to be open season.

See, we can agree on things across the "aisle."  Couldn't agree more.  Now get back to outlining some cases!

I have been saying that about Democrats in presidential elections forever.

For example..... "I will close Gitmo immediately".

"I will never raise taxes a single cent and it won't be by calling it a fee or anything else".

........ and so on.

I know this may come as a shock that politicians say things they believe their base wants to hear.

    • but will he be doing contact football drills mid-season?
    • That was an awesome video!  I feel so proud of these young men.  They proved the doubters wrong.  Bellville should be proud, too.  I know it didn't end like they had hoped, but we've been there, so we can definitely empathize with them.  Great season, Brahmas!
    • Meh.. Everyone knows this. The kid that got injured wasn't lifting weights. Supposedly he was hit with a helmet in his elbow. In my opinion the kid shouldn't have been put in that situation. AD should've told the Varsity baseball players to sit that one out. I have no issues with the lifting or conditioning. However, anytime helmets/pads are on there is a higher risk of injury. This AD showed a total lack of respect for HIS baseball program.
    • Maybe.. however..  Many athletic director / head football coach have lost their job despite the athletic program as a whole being successful.. if the football team struggles.  On the other hand, when football teams are doing great but the rest of the program stinks.. AD/HFC still keeps their job. WOS.  Newton. .. programs as a whole were fairly weak during those many years of football power and very few people even knew it.  Or cared. Yet, AD/HFC kept their jobs for years. Meanwhile, I remember an AD/HFC at Barbers Hill lost his job after every program in the school won district championships and even had several team sports (baseball, softball, girls hoops, etc.) making runs at state.  But the football team was mediocre.  Fired. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that perception is reality.  And the perception is that your athletic program can suck as long as football wins.. it doesn't matter how strong the athletic program is if football sucks.
