How the heck is Mineola going to State? You think Dubois has done a great job at HJ (and obviously he has), Mineola was way worse for way longer than the Hawks. This should give hope for any program...

I am originally from what we call East Texas but what is really NE Texas. Mineola was NEVER any good. I can think of a local comparison or two but don't want to disparage a local program. I'm sure Mineola may have had a good team or two but I honestly can't remember one.

I used to hear unpleasant stories about them while living in northern texas, apparently they were a traditional homecoming type opponent back in the day.

I'm from up that way..they were in our district when I was in high school. They were indeed awful. Coach Drennon and staff have done an incredible job there turning that thing around.
