texas13 Posted September 26, 2014 Report Posted September 26, 2014 GCM pats good luck the rest of the way Quote
Peppermint Patty Posted September 26, 2014 Report Posted September 26, 2014 GCM pats good luck the rest of the way Thanks. We need a little luck right now. Plus a little defense. You guys should make a deep run. Great players and speed to burn. Always nice to play good teams that do things the right way. Quote

Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 26, 2014 Report Posted September 26, 2014 Pretty sure I saw Coach Hooks at the game tonight. Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted September 26, 2014 Author Report Posted September 26, 2014 Central definitely has some play makers on offense, but Jags need to tighten up that run defense. Got gashed on several runs tonight. Quote
mytwocents-28 Posted September 26, 2014 Report Posted September 26, 2014 367 yards on the ground on 46 attempts. That's averaging almost 8 yards a carry. O.o Quote
BMTSoulja1 Posted September 26, 2014 Report Posted September 26, 2014 Most of those long runs were when some of the defensive starters went out in the second half. Also, once the team realized they can score on this team at will, I think the defense got complacent. Quote
mytwocents-28 Posted September 26, 2014 Report Posted September 26, 2014 Let us hope so, cuz you know soulja that Vidor coaches are looking at those rushing stats for gcm and licking there chops lol. Quote
liltex Posted September 26, 2014 Report Posted September 26, 2014 GCM late 1st qtr went away from what was successful then had a bad 2nd qtr.Thought we were gonna have a game early on.Pats have a solid run game but passing & defending the pass put them in a deficit they could not overcome.Got to see Soulja's new baby & had a great time w/Garrity/Robanadana Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
BMTSoulja1 Posted September 26, 2014 Report Posted September 26, 2014 That was her 2nd Central game and she enjoyed it. Nice to see Robanadana, Liltex, Buddy Garrity, and big Ford. MTC, Central's run defense held their own vs. Summer Creek's Chatman and the two headed monster backfield in Port Arthur. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 26, 2014 Report Posted September 26, 2014 No offense but im starting to think Jones may be better than Whaley, nice problem to have, trust me I know ;) Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 26, 2014 Report Posted September 26, 2014 Let us hope so, cuz you know soulja that Vidor coaches are looking at those rushing stats for gcm and licking there chops lol.they had better watch the film and not just look at numbers. Quote
BMTSoulja1 Posted September 26, 2014 Report Posted September 26, 2014 No offense but im starting to think Jones may be better than Whaley, nice problem to have, trust me I know ;)Whaley is straight line speed and he takes on tacklers. Like the bruiser. Jones has moves in space and has great vision. But coach will find a way to get Whaley and all of his speed in space more. He's probably the fastest kid in our district. Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 26, 2014 Report Posted September 26, 2014 Overall good game. Kinda got too relaxed 2nd half Jags but one had to expect a little of that. Only knock on Central I saw was two things: a couple of unnecessary penalties and when Foreman wanted to speed up on offense it seemed like no one was paying attention. GCM has to develop a consistent little passing game and defend against the pass better. #7 got them field position all game long. Playcalling went from excellent on the 1st drive to I dont know what they're thinking from that point until halftime. GCM has size on the lines but that defense is small. Better playcalling and blocking happens yall might fight for 4th place or be able to legitimately play spoiler to someone's season. Quote

liltex Posted September 26, 2014 Report Posted September 26, 2014 Scratches head trying to figure how LCM beat GCM :o Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
BlackShirts5 Posted September 26, 2014 Report Posted September 26, 2014 As its been stated already GCM has no passing game. If they could pass with and consistency it could complement the run with a little better success. How did #36 do on defense? Quote
