Biggest Rivalries

With football in full swing, and basketball around the corner baseball is still always on my mind. What is the game(s) you look forward to every season? Those many years ago I was in school we always looked forward to the Chester-Colmesneil games. Now as a parent, I enjoy watching my son and the Evadale Rebels playing Big Sandy. Baseball season can't get here soon enough.

Kountze vs Buna...its' back!

I got to watch the second big sandy evadale game last year. One of my favorites of last year. You don't get much more exciting than a play at the plate to end the game.

I've tried to forget it. That was a great game. Don't know what it is, but those 2 teams always battle to the end.

Buna has lots of holes to fill. Some younger kids have to step up and pitching depth is going to be a major concern. Might not be much of a game for the mighty lions.

the lions still return 8 players and a dh even without ethan, they will be tough

Buna lost 2 starting pitchers catcher SS and RF. Only 2 pitchers return that picthed a lot in District. Also had a 3rd/1st baseman move that'll hurt too. Buna will probably be around 3rd or 4th place with the mighty Lions and Buccaneers taking 1 and 2

I would say it will be between Kountze and Kirbyville for 1st place in this district

Definitely. I'd put this rivalry against rivalry in SETX when it comes to baseball. I may be a little biased though, having played four years in this rivalry lol

What makes it better here lately is that there has been a district championship on the line.  Always a fun and intense game to watch.

Growing up I played against Braeden Riley in LL when he still went to Warren...hating playing against Warren and they were in the championship every year...thank God the Riley's saw the light and I got to play with him instead of against him in HS...but I was fun to beat down Warren in HS lol

Lol yeah same here! Literally in 2012 haha but on a serious note, that rivalry produced some of my fondest memories in football and baseball. I'd out it up against any rivalry in SETX.

Wait a second.  We have been the one doing the beat downs here lately. We never bought into the "Co-champions" either.  My son is a freshman this year so maybe it will be renewed sometime during his high school career.  District and baseball wise at least.

Well I played from 03-06 and Warren was only in our district in 05 & 06 so I can't speak of current the beatdown situation lol but the 24-3 (think that's about right) win in Warren in 06 was nice lol
