First look at Kirbyville

I was anxious to see how the Wildcats matched up against Newton. I have to say I think it was a pretty good looking start. No doubt Newton will improve every week (they always do) but the Cats looked good on both sides of the ball.

I agree. ...for a first scrimmage, they looked great. Especially the defense. The Cats will be ready for district that's for sure.

Newton will be fine...didn't expect my Cats to have that much horse power this early.

Yea. His second carry of scrimmage.

Offense seemed to still do ok. Seven total TDs.

Defense did ok too. They would of had three TDs on that side of the ball.

Granted it was against EF but the team as a whole seems to be ahead of where they were at this point last season.

He's right. .... they do look good early. Hopefully this team improves more. I'm excited about their progress. I know that you can only see so much from a scrimmage, so they should be stepping it up a little more each week.
