oldschool2 Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 ***MY POINT...I want to know your personal hands on experience and not second and third hand??? I'm not trying to be a jerk or silence an opinion, but it's not so simple as alike minded folks laying out a direction and then pulling the essential order together and then moving forward. TAX BASE TAX RATE SATURATION OF BOND CAPABILITY ENROLLMENT CAPABILITIES OF PAY RATE COST OF RESOURCES STATE AND FEDERAL ASSISTANCE LEVEL OF POVERTY IN THE DISTRICT NUMBER OF 504 IN THE DISTRICT TITLE ONE MONEY AND APPLICATION SIZE OF DISTRICT AND TRANS. EXPENSE ***SIR I CAN GO ON AND ON*** I have been involved with the education process for several years and been raised by educators. You make these blanket statements based on what your told...YOU TAKE EVERYONE OF THOSE TOPICS AND THEN APPLY THEM TO OUR AREA AND SPECIFIC DISTRICTS IN QUESTION AND THEN HOW THEY THEY NEED TO HANDLE THOSE AREAS OF QUESTION AND THEN YOU COME WITH YOUR PIE IN THE SKY...when you can do that and support your position, I personally will listen and quiet frankly take lengthy notes for immediate application, because I promise I want more for all of our kids: Athletes and Academics! I do understand what you're saying. And I do understand that the things you listed vary from school to school. Special Ed students, kids on free lunch, tax base....trust me I understand the funding is different for each school district. But I do know that there are similar towns and districts that are doing something...and it wouldn't hurt to find out exactly what is happening. I also know that it makes no sense to have classrooms or administrative buildings in portable buildings if your school had 5mil in a "rainy day" fund. I do not have any personal hands on experience with it. So I do understand where you're coming from on that. Most if my ex college teammates went into education and they tell me more than they should...so I am knowledgable on the subject. Plus my first wife was a teacher. But no I had no dealings personally. I'll admit that what I know is thru other sources. IT'S IN THE BONE 1 Quote
ECFAN#1 Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 Kirbyville points for is 272 http://vype.com/setx/sports/football/ VYPE has it at 243. I did not verify just posted what they had but went back and verify at 273. Quote

Guest ECBucFan Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 I think WV will win, but don't think the Anahuac D will be a pushover. They can do enough to keep the game close, IMHO. Quote
ECFAN#1 Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 The fact that Anahuac has only scored 27 points all year not only astounds me, but gives me a lot of confidence heading into this week :) I went to first half of Buna and Anahuac game. They did have a good drive that they scored on. Anahuac had the ball inside their own 5 yard line. They made a couple of first downs then broke one to Buna's ~10 yard lne. They punched it in for their 7 points. Quote

rykerx144 Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 and of the 27 Anahuac points I know at least 14 of them are defense and or special teams...not offense Quote

Cowboy620 Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 Teague and Malakoff decide 1-2 next Friday in Malakoff Elkhart and. Westwood 3/4 that game those two don't like each other and will be a testy game they had a big brawl at a track meet couple years ago and are 15 miles apart We saw Westwood Friday good wing t team with 2 speedsters in the backfield there defense though is not very good Will see Elkhart this week and think they will have a better defense they will be well coached and hard nosed Coach Wells does a great job there Quote
bullets13 Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 1. Kirbyville 2. Buna 3. EC 4. Kountze I don't see anyone beating Kirbyville, but Buna's clock control offense gives them the best chance. We'll see what happens in the next couple of weeks. Quote
Cowboy620 Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 On another playoff venues for bi district going to be hard Lufkin Huntsville Nac possible but SFA and SHSU won't book games that week Quote
kcat-fan Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 Sooo...are you thinking 1. Teague 2. Malakoff 3. Elkhart 4. Westwood Quote
Cowboy620 Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 Will say I'm not going to pick against my Tigers game is a tossup in the Harris Poll we are Number 1 with 235 power ranking and they are number 2 with 233 power We are also at home and have won 13 straight there have not lost at home since 2011 against Crockett week 10 3. Elkhart 4. Westwood Quote
eagleswoodville#1 Posted October 14, 2014 Author Report Posted October 14, 2014 I think Westwood beats Elkhart. Just an opinion though. Also, I think Woodville gets that forth spot in 12 ;) Quote
kcat-fan Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 Good luck to the Tigers this week! Quote
