Sweeny Coach to PNG

Recommended Posts

Coach Scott Carter to PNG. 400+ career win, 200+ wins in 9 years as Sweeny head coach.Undefeated district champions in 2011,2012 and 2013. State tournament appearance in 2012. Carter was reassigned in Sweeny by new athletic director so as most coaches would do started looking to relocate. He was chosen Brazoria County Coach of the Year.

(on a sde note) Carter also has a daughter that was an all conference softball player at Lamar University so it sounds like PNG is a great fit for him and his family.

Why on earth would any athletic director reassign a coach with that resume?????  Just doesn't make sense....  They lost in second round this year to a good Bridge City team.

New athletic director/football coach blamed carter for students quitting football and going straight baseball. I know for a fact this wasn't true. Carter was varsity football coach and wanted all his players playing football.

The majority of people in Sweeny are scratching their heads as well.

Carter is originally from Louisiana, another reason PNG is a great fit for Carter and his family.

Pew Research released on Apr. 30 a report exploring support for presidential candidates sorted by religious affiliation. The poll found that 55% of Catholics support or lean towards supporting former President Donald Trump in a head-to-head against Biden. Conversely, only 45% of Catholics support Biden in the same one-on-one pairing. The 12% margin of support in favor of Trump marks a significant shift from 2020, when he held an extremely narrow lead — 50% to 49%. Biden currently leads among Hispanic Catholics with a narrow 49%-47% split, but the close contest marks a major shift rightward for the demographic. In 2020, a similar poll from Pew Research found Hispanic Catholics preferred Biden to Trump with a staggering 67%-26% split.
    • You said a lot there. Truthfully, that is the root of the issue. Who cares what a kid thinks about how coaches are running a program? Kids play, coaches coach. For some reason, parents have this backward in a lot of places and its wreaking havoc.
    • He's already stated he's a huge Clinton fan.
    • If the red hat fits, wear it.    It helps the rest of us figure out who the morons are before they open their mouths and make it obvious.
    • Coaches can't be in the dugout to coach, but the coaches are setting the schedule. The coaches are organizing it. The coaches are setting the lineup in advance. The coaches are determining who is pitching and how many pitches they are throwing. Fall baseball is like 7 on 7. The coaches may not be calling he pitches or the plays, but they are in "control" of the situation and they are present and "observing."
