Best HS halftime show I’ve seen by a mile.  In all fairness, I generally hate halftime shows.  But that young man was worth the price of admission when I saw him.

Orangefield scores with seconds remaining to cut it to 2 and get a delay of game penalty.   Got a good look at converting anyway but ball was just off receiver’s finger tips in corner of end zone.   
Hardin was pretty impressive - not sure if they had more than 20 kids suited up.   And kudos to the tambourine player in the band.  Easily the most entertaining part of my evening.  

He has them going in the right direction. They have already improved, but a lot has to do with Snell back on the field. This game still shouldn't have been close. EC missing two key players, lineman banged up all night, but I'll give Hardin credit they play hard. 

You can say what you want...using the Liberty scrimmage as a measuring stick will end in disappointment.  Yes there's no question Hardin is improved.  They won zero games last year so I am betting they are improved.  Liberty had a very respectable season last year.  One of the best in the area...but they do not have the same team.  Take that how you choose.  They lost 2 college caliber backs...one of which I'm pretty sure I read broke the Liberty rushing record.  Thinking they'll be AS good again is silly.  So again.  Hardin is better, but hard to tell how much better because Liberty is worse.
Will find out for certain after Friday.  For both teams.

Hardin seems to be much improved on both sides of the ball. It'll be exciting to see how they do this week.
P.S.
Any statement that starts with, "I don't mean to take anything away from..." does just that. Liberty should have done much better than they did against Hardin. That said, it's just a scrimmage but I got the feeling liberty wanted to make a much better showing than they did. 
 

Hardin looked better than last week in my opinion, offense looked pretty good and did well against Liberty's starting defense. Defense looked better as well tackling has to improve, its a matter of effort when you are tired. They know how just seem to slack off as they play. Liberty exposed some blown secondary assignments early on. That'll improve with more reps and film time.Overall Hardin improved in one week, looking forward to next weeks game.

Okay, now I am a little clearer and hope that this will satisfy your inquiry.  Other than the number of teams to be selected and when those votes are supposed to submitted to me, we do not put any guidelines on our voters.  As far as factors to be considered in their voting, each voters is left to his own set of factors to consider.  Thus, I have no doubt that our voters (including me) tend to vote with some biases, as much as we attempt to disregard them, both for and against.  However, the AP and the Coaches Polls voters also have their biases.  They are able to prevent it skewing their respective rankings by having 25 different voters.  We attempt to do the same with 10.  But like the college polls, we rarely match everyone's views on how the rankings should go.
Fortunately, the champions are not determined by our views. LOL

Forgot to mention that friendswoods backups scored late so actual score was 35-20. Not trying to rub it in, but since my kid was in for that one had to mention it.
