They said PNG fans did it for the purpose of preventing LH fans from being able to attend the game. It’s two very different connotations. One is simply fans wanting to see a game. The other is fans maliciously trying to block others from attending the game (ie, buying tickets they have no intention of using just to keep them out).

You're assuming they have no intention of using them...that said I wouldn't put it past a PN-G fan to drive to Liberty Hill to buy tickets

This lie is still spreading. It’s an astonishing sequence: (1) PNG fans want to see the game; (2) LH selects a small stadium; (3) Both sides have the same opportunity to buy tickets; (4) PNG fans buy available tickets because they want to watch the game; (5) LH fans don’t buy enough tickets; (6) PNG fans are still desperately trying to locate tickets because there aren’t nearly enough; (7) LH fans claim PnG fans are trying to limit THEM from going to the game.

The ability to simultaneously be the cause of their own problems AND to be so especially aggrieved by PNg’s reasonable actions taken in response is incredible. If PNG had its way, every single fan from both sides would attend. Someone might say, “Well, you should have won the coin toss.” Why is it that when we win the coin toss, we make sure MORE fans from the other side can come, but when we lose it the other team tries to leave our fans out?  And, given that truth, how are we the bad guys?

The only problem is you're missing a few steps between one and two...I may have to go into witness protection for my comments😄 but PN-G fans had an entire day to purchase tickets I remember the days we had to camp out in bitter cold to get tickets..if the fans didn't get tickets that's a THEM problem the players and coaches would play the game in a mudhole in Munday as long as the field was 100 yards had two endzones and two goalposts...I've never seen part of a fan base bitterly complain about a coach based solely on rumor and innuendo. I think CardinalBacker is on to something the new slogan for PN-G should be Honor, Pride, Tradition, and Petty😺

Multiple coin tosses take place.  A home or home coin toss never happened, so he couldn’t pick to play in Austin.  He got to pick between stadiums near the halfway point, and purposefully chose to play at a smaller stadium.  Defend him all you want, but he is the reason PNG was buying up tickets on their side.

I'm going to respectfully disagree there's multiple stadiums smaller than Cy Fair FCU Stadium that could have just as easily been selected...I'm just not buying Coach Walker chose that specific stadium for the specific reason to keep PN-G fans out...sorry

PNG site showing more tickets.  I guess the tickets they added for the band are available.

LH site is gone.  I wonder if they didn’t pull it to just sell to their fans.  When PNG side sold out, it still came up and showed sold out.

I was told Liberty Hill ISD put a hold on the remaining tickets on their side and will be selling those in Liberty Hill

If I'm the LH coach I wouldn't want to play at Legacy Stadium where they lost last year. I wouldn't want to play at NRG where PNG just won. Whatever reasons he has for that stadium are probably good ones that he feels benefit his team.

I got our tickets for the family as soon as I saw the link. I'm just hoping PNG fans choose to buy a lot of seats on LH's side instead of deciding not to go. It would be pretty crazy to look at the home side and see people standing for Cherokee and doing the Tomahawk Chop.

Winning at a stadium before is a pretty good reason...I'm just rolling my eyes at the comments about Coach Walker purposely choosing a smaller stadium to keep PN-G fans out its ridiculous

I’m not suggesting any wrongdoing. I made no allegations of bad behavior, illegal or otherwise. I understand that there were bigger stadiums proposed and he absolutely refused to select a larger one. That’s a deliberate choice - He’s still an honorable man, a good citizen, etc, and I’ve said nothing to challenge that. But, he still chose to purposely exclude fans from the game, and that’s a deliberate and unnecessary action that defies the point and purpose of high school sports, and I disagree with it as petty gamesmanship. It’s not an attack on his character.

I don't think it had anything to do with the fans per se I just think he likes the stadium

Exactly - I don’t feel bad. We have to send a message to nip this petty behavior in the bud. If I was rich, I’d buy up the entire allotment of LH tickets so none of them can come. Their coach is trying to purposely turn our fans away from the game, it’s only fair to do the same. Nothing against any of their fans. I like LH, a lot. But, next time, maybe they’d just agree to the bigger stadium instead of playing stupid games. Huntsville wasn’t afraid of our crowd. South Oak Cliff wasn’t and won’t be afraid of our crowd. LH shouldn’t be afraid of our crowd.

There's nothing nefarious going on... if liberty hill wanted to they could have played the game in Austin. Coach Walker has coached as an assistant and won at Cy Fair FCU Stadium before other coaches would do the same. I understand you're upset with the stadium coach but Liberty Hill won the coin toss and selected the site Coach Walker is not purposefully trying to do anything he is a respectable coach as others have mentioned on this board and to suggest any wrongdoing on his part is just wrong

If he's the same big lineman that played in last year's championship game, he spent pretty much the whole game trying to keep his pants pulled up. I mean no disrespect whatsoever towards the young man, and wish him the best. I'm just saying that he had trouble with his football pants in last year's title game. A larger problem for PNG in last year's game was pass coverage on defense, and (IMO) a worn out running back on offense. (Very simply put.)

I have a different perspective totally agree on pass coverage but I think the blocking in last year's game vs. South Oak Cliff was poor and it led to all those turnovers, sacks, safeties etc. The difference in this year's team is the offensive line isn't nearly as big...Bubba was 360 and Mike Stoker who was 315 signed with TCU...keep this in mind SOC also had 6 defensive backs sign FBS Division 1 scholarships last year in total 12 signed FBS Division 1 scholarships probably the most talented team I've seen since 1988 Dallas Carter in all 22 seniors signed scholarships last year and that's not even including this year's team who still has Danny Green William Little, Trey Jackson, Elijah Basea, and Jamyri Cauley just to name a few...SOC might be less talented than last year but the talent they still have makes them the favorite to repeat as champions at this point
