I personally don't think either of those examples warrant shooting someone, and like you said, what if it was a curious 10 year old snooping.....and not only that, through a wall with a rifle.....if you missed a stud, could it make into the next home? You could very well kill someone unintentional. We will see if justified, but I think for sure reckless.....

Do you feel this way when criminals (armed or unarmed) fight with cops putting their lives in danger? If you feel a woman inside her house should be able to protect her "property" with deadly force and they deserve it.....what about the cop protecting themselves with deadly force, their life seems more valuable than "property".......we may agree, because when I see someone fighting a cop, and they get shot......I do think they deserve it in most cases.....

It seems like people are being taught they should always be happy and nothing should upset them. I had a friend after his Dad passed away started drinking (more than social) and taking Xanax because, his reason, "it takes away the pain",,,,,,my response was it is supposed to hurt when a parent passes away, it is the natural part of the grieving process. I know some mental illnesses are real and it's a problem. I also know some is being breed with teaching. Example, when I was younger, you faced a bully. It didn't always work to your benefit, but it taught you to stand up for yourself, and a butt kicking didn't really hurt THAT bad.....and typically, if you stood up to the bully, win or lose, they left you alone BECAUSE you stood up for yourself. Now days, you are taught to pass along your bully problem for someone else to handle. I don't agree with that, didn't teach my kid that, and he is mentally healthy and not afraid to stand up for himself......

I didn't realize it was that easy to get away with murder.....

At this point it looks like a rain event with up to 10" or so of rain......that is based on all the sources I look at. GB and radar states there are breaks in the rain, so it does not appear it will come down steady.... If you have a history of flooding, be prepared..... No history like myself, it should be no big deal other than rain...... Be aware of your own situation and STAY SAFE......the only thing over preparing does is overstock your fridge and fill up all your gas tanks!

I work at a bank, I'm not sure how that would work. Based on the Patriot act, we report transactions over 10K, but not directly to the IRS like some people think.....and transactions over 10K are VERY common....I've never understood why one person would be worried about the government picking on them with millions of transactions reported daily from every bank in the US. Now with a $600 trigger, that would be 95% or more of every transaction we do......I'm not sure what they would do with that information, but they don't have the staff to manage that....

Still not outrage from CNN of NOW an unarmed elderly black woman being falsely accused and arrested of DUI........ Funny how that works

She did some weird things like stopping in the middle of the road, and not being able to follow some simple instructions. I'm not going to second guess the officers, I mean the could of been saving lives.....

Yes sir........I would have a hard time having that conversation with my daughters.....luckily I have a wife that feels the same as I do......and so far, so good.

I don’t have a daughter, only one Son. I married 3 years ago and have 2 stepdaughters…one is 19, the other 18….with no kids…..I would rather them(and my Son) not have sex until marriage….but I also live in reality…..I would rather supply condoms than diapers …..what about you?

I'm going to help him. I think the main thing is when two members start insulting each other and get completely off the topic discussed. There is one poster that is an EXPERT at getting people off topic and attacking him, and vice versa...... That is unproductive and adds no value to the topic or conversation....I honestly do not see much of that in the other forums

This is the problem. We have kids and adults that can't afford to take care of themselves having kids. One of the toughest decisions I made was telling my son where the condoms were.....At 10-12(I forget) I told him they were in my nightstand and I don't count them. I bought 24 and put in a container so it would look like I would not miss one.....I knew how many were inn there....lol. I didn't want to promote him having sex, but I didn't want the responsibility of a kid, and his life plan changed because of a bad decision with a girl.......I know this because most of my bad decisions involved a woman.....lol My point, we need to stop the pregnancies and abortion would not be an issue.

Would you want that for all people accused or just cops? My thoughts are laws are laws, break them and get what you get. If you come back with the higher standards argument, then shouldn't we hold teachers to that same higher standard? Wouldn't that be different rules for different people? Should a teacher be fined more for speeding than a construction worker?

I heard through the grape vine she is claiming she did not know about the weed, she was in a car that did not belong to her🤷🏻‍♂️ I don’t believe that story, unless there’s really someone stupid enough to loan someone a vehicle with 14 pounds of weed in it

I’ve known this person for about 20 years. After her divorce, 18 years ago, she went nuts, hung out at bars, hung out in my group somewhat…. I watched her spiral into an alcoholic, or what seem to be an alcoholic, and drug use. I found out she got the BISD job and was making a change in her life for the better. She used to be a teacher, but had not taught in several years….. it looks like her demons won the fight, and now has changed her life forever…..It still blows me away that she was stupid enough to drive with 14 pounds of weed….. I mean 14 pounds of weed…….
