That is the point I'm trying to drive home. How do we get the drive back to people with no drive. I have no problem helping the truly needy. My problem is when I worked at that rent to own place, most of our customers were on government housing and food stamps back then. I seen the mentality first hand. Rent A Center took advantage of their circumstance renting them a big screen TV for $40/week, and it was a sense of pride for them to have a big TV (they made hardly any money but ended up paying 3 times what the TV was worth.....(IF they didn't get it taken from them for non-payment) .....Yet there was no pride in getting a job and being self sufficient. Women with several kids and no self control to get on birth control. I don't think that is what my tax dollars should be spent on. I guess we need to figure out who is "truly needy".....

He said he would... If the Judge can order The US President to do something, couldn't that same Judge order Democrats to vote for the continuing resolution? However, I was asking your input on the fact that SO many people can't take care of themselves and what should be done. IMO, it is not OK for so many people to need help living......

Hunter, Biden, a staff member......They need to figure out how it got there...... What if that was a chemical agent to kill Biden......or a visiting Country's leader......That could cause a war....

What if I couldn't find a job? - I can always find a job unless I'm hurt and can't work. That is what insurance and savings is for. Fast food and convenience stores are ALWAYS hiring. You apparently missed the point about "finding" a job. My son made pretty good money at 15 knocking on doors to cut grass.....If you want to work, you can, Yes, 1 month......you missed the now much longer..... In liquid savings I could go a year.......but why? It takes a long time to save money and a short time to spend it. Once it is gone, it's gone....no turning back. Why spend money you intentionally saved when you could........get a job. If you ask anymore questions I have already answered, I'm not responding.

I quit a job on a Wednesday as a rent to own manager (Rent-A-Center), put my applications in to other retail management jobs, in the MEANTIME, I went to work as a laborer for Mid-Gulf construction for a little more than half my previous wages. If you don’t know what a laborer is, it’s the entry level position and you get the jobs no one else wants to do…..and you use a shovel A LOT…..I hated that job so much I vowed never to ever own a shovel…I was young I tell that story because your first priority should be getting back to work, even if it a job you hate or feel it is beneath you. And to answer your irrelevant question, back then about 1 month. Now, much longer, but at the same time, probably 1 month,….I wouldn’t want to dip Into my savings…..so I would get a job, to this day, even one I didn’t like.

It is really sad that so many grown people can't take care of themselves. I realize some people have disabilities that prevent them from working and they need help. However, we shouldn't pay people to stay at home and have babies and condition them to live off the government. Those type programs should have strict limits.

He really is Teflon Don..... I can't think of another person.....there is no other person that has had so many things thrown at them all at once and ended on on top of every one of them......those 34 felony's will be overturned almost guaranteed.... and they STILL are trying lol

Correct, but when the left leaning Washington post tells Democrats to stop holding the government hostage, you may have a problem..... From the article..... "The right answer is to reopen the government with a clean funding bill, ideally for a full year, to get food stamps flowing and federal workers back in the office, and then have a debate about ACA subsidies," the Post editorial said. "Democrats openly acknowledge that they refuse to do this because it would mean giving up their leverage. If they persist, it could mean families start to go hungry." [Hidden Content]

For the size of your house, that is not a bad bill. I'm single and mine is 1700 sq ft and highest in summer is 200ish. I do wish we had options.

Why is it acceptable to you to only enforce the laws you agree with ? Shouldn't we enforce all laws? I speed on occasion......If caught, I expect to pay a fine, I'm not entitled, I l know the risk before I do it.

I have a feeling you are going to be disappointed. My other questions, is one of the "Victims" threatened to release "the list" she created if Docs were no unsealed..... Why does she not make it public? My guess there is no list and she was paid by Epstein's estate and if she discloses any info (true or false) she will forfeit the money......So, maybe the money is more important than the truth....... None of the parties opposed unsealing a significant majority of the documents sought by the Times and the Journal, according to the judge’s order. But certain redactions, even in those filings, must remain. “All the parties agree that, because Epstein’s victims have strong interests in their privacy, the victims’ identifying information should remain sealed,” Rakoff wrote in a 17-page ruling, which was dated for Friday but docketed on Monday morning. JPMorgan Chase objected to unsealing 36 of the exhibits sought by the newspapers.

May I add the ACA was passed with not one Republican vote, along with 34 Democrats joining Republicans in the NO vote.... ACA is 100% a Democratic problem. They are holding out to continue to fund this bill that was not as promised.

Strange because people are spending money in stock market right now

Do everyday workers have a 401K? Wal-Mart , Lowes, Home Depot, Starbucks, Family Dollar, Dolla General - they all have 401K's - market should affect them.
