TVC, your wrong.........It's Taser's, PCP and ditches. ;D -
Obama raised the taxes on cigarettes and wants to increase gas tax. Funny thing about raising these taxes it hurts the poor more than the rich. A rich person can afford $5.00 gallon in his yacht.......a rich person can afford $7.00 cigarettes........Obama is hurting the poor by increasing taxes on these two things....... BUT, if you drink the KoolAid, it really don't matter!

Hey Einstein, I have never claimed to know everything, but if you want to discuss something other than President Bush, I KINDLY suggest you find a different thread. If the subject reads "What is the best thing Bush did during his presidency?", one could probably assume it would include President Bush.
-
From a good article..........I could respond to the NOBODY remark, but I have a hard time debating someone with a lack of common sense. George W. Bush was pegged as a hate figure even before being sworn in. Yet he resisted bitterness, stuck to principle and became what history will judge to be one of our better presidents. ex-President Bush, on the other hand, has taken at least as much personal abuse, yet his graciousness seldom fails. While the 37th president acidly told the press, “You won’t have Nixon to kick around anymore,†the 43rd told the reporters at his final presidential press conference Monday that they were “just people trying to do the best they possibly can.†That’s charitable in the extreme: Every step of the way, the establishment press has been eager to see this president fail. And unlike Nixon, who so disappointed his supporters on the right that he was challenged for the GOP nomination in 1972, Bush stuck to the conservative principles on many if not most issues, including income and investment tax cuts, the invasion of two terror states and the appointment of Supreme Court justices. Bush came to the plate with two strikes against him. He was falsely accused of stealing the 2000 election and hit the ground in the middle of a recession. Then came the first attack on the homeland since Pearl Harbor. In the face of the threat to both the U.S. and the free world, the commander in chief made war against governments that sponsored terrorism and cut taxes to revitalize the post-9/11 economy.

I have NO respect for you, simply because of your name calling. I wouldn't trust you as far as I could throw you. Simple fact and I did so without threatening to beat you up

Go somewhere else with your preaching. We didn't try to capitalize on this and make it a racial issue like you racist Houstonians did. You and Quanell X can stay in Houston. Check your own self before you lecture us. Your own words were pasted on here. You can't deny them no matter how much you try. Racist Houstonians? How funny is that? You live in KKK Land, and wanna call us racists?!! My post were based on the information that was given at that time, and I STILL said that the bottom line was that someone's SON had died prematurely....I also said that it was a bad deal for the officers involved too..Never denied anything...Whatever I say once, I can say twice, and not just over the net....Stay in your lane....boy. YankeeDawg, I agree that she should just drop it...My point is the insensitivity towards her about what has taken place...You are a parent and only parents will understand that sometimes logic can go out of the window when it comes to our kids being harmed...I DO agree with you that, she should just grieve, pick up the pieces and move on. Just going by the words that you yourself said. You've provided far too much evidence of you being a racist. the posts are there..... BOY See the difference between you, and me is that you would not have the gonads to say that to me in person, for fear of getting the taste slapped out of your mouth. Try me...please. BOY. I'm pretty sure a threat is against the forum rules......... A real man does not need to resort to violence to prove a point......only cowards -
Apparently you can't "HANDLE THE TRUTH". Why resort to name calling? Do you have so much hate you have to name call? Did your father while he was teaching you not to hate, forget about name calling a form of hate? I can post all your comments if I wanted, filled with hate and racism. You should look in the mirror before you start calling people dumb.

18 ) The bashing of any particular coach, player, referee, etc will not be tolerated. This includes issues involving their personal lives, coaching/playing style or performance, past experiences, etc. He was not a coach, player, referee...........we are discussing information from the news articles and the information the Mother has provided........... To accuse the police of injecting her son with PCP...........my reply would without a doubt break the forum rules! -
It is still undermined. I don't think that it's as much about an apology as a true, heartfelt, compassionate suggestion that IT WAS WRONG. I just keep getting...it was bad, but it was part of history; Africans sold slaves; our forefathers did the best they could; at least it's over now. Yet, somebody gets their boxers/briefs in a wad because someone states that they don't care about car bombs and children being killed overseas. It's just the lack of empathy for what happened...the nonchalantness. All I can say is you're definitely in the right place. Give me a break......it was over a 100 years ago. There WERE white slaves.......I'm not blaming anyone or asking anyone for an apology. I was upset about the car bomb because it was in the last few days..... Find something else to be mad about......... You make Little sense. We all say its bad and we disagree.......yet we don't have a true, heartfelt, compassionate apology for you......and that's OUR fault?? : :

White folks in America have never apologized to blacks for slavery. What the hell would I look like as a black man for apologizing for the death of a black man under what I call very suspicious circumstances? When whites apologize to African American people, then we can talk about a mutual apology." Translation: I will never apologize. Translation: I will keep this going as long as I can and give hope to Mrs. Laday as I drain her bank account! -

Everyone has their own opinion of Slavery and text books. Here is an article about White Slavery that is not taught in History books. The Truth About Slavery The history of America and of Western Civilization is not being taught as it should be in our schools and universities today. Historical facts are suppressed, and what is taught is distorted in such a way as to advance the world government agenda, with all inconvenient historical facts, knowledge of which might cause our young people to question that agenda, purposely left out. It is a tragedy of monumental proportions that our schools have been converted into "liberal" brainwashing institutions, though I do feel a sense of encouragement when I read that more and more real Americans are taking their children out of the public schools and teaching them at home. Nevertheless, because America is, or was until recently, a predominantly White nation, one of the primary ways that national disintegration is promoted by the destroyers of nations in this country is by the inculcation of White guilt for Black slavery. By recounting and emphasizing again and again the real and imagined sufferings of Black people under slavery, the White student is made to feel that his ancestors were cruel, morally retarded, and evil. They are made to feel that they owe Black people a nearly infinite compensation, since, they are taught, Black people's problems today are the legacy of hundreds of years of slavery for which White people are responsible. They are taught that the relative prosperity which we enjoy today was achieved largely by exploitation of Black slaves. Is it any wonder that thousands of our young people join Jesse Jackson in chanting "Hey Hey Ho Ho, Western Culture's Gotta Go"? Is it any wonder that they all too often reject our European cultural heritage and embrace all forms of alien styles of music, dancing, dress, grooming and slang, from Jamaican "rasta" to "gangsta rap"? Is it any wonder that White teenagers are committing suicide in higher numbers every year? They have received, in our public schools and colleges, not a "liberal education," but an education by liberals. They have been taught very well indeed - taught that they and their ancestors and their traditions and their natural feelings are worthless and an obstacle to be overcome. Now these liberal lies are easily countered by facts. The primary fact that must be emphasized is that many hundreds of thousands of White people were slaves in early America. In fact, White slavery was not only extremely common, but until the late 18th century it was far more common than Black slavery here. Also little known is the fact that living and labor conditions for Black slaves, bad as they often were, were usually far better than those for White slaves. At this point, many of you are probably saying "White slaves? What in the world is he talking about? Sure, there were White indentured servants and apprentices in colonial America, and maybe sometimes they were treated badly, but actual White slavery - that's something that disappeared with the Romans and the Vikings. And to compare White indentured servants to Black slaves is the worst sort of racist distortion of history!" Some of you are probably saying or thinking exactly that, and quite frankly to most of us the idea of White slavery in early America is hard to accept, schooled as we are by the controlled media and the liberal-dominated public schools. Today, not a tear is shed for the sufferings of millions of our enslaved forefathers. 200 years of White slavery in America have been almost completely obliterated from the collective memory of the American people. Writer Elaine Kendall asks "Who wants to be reminded that half - perhaps as many as two-thirds - of the original American colonists came here, not of their own free will, but kidnapped, shanghaied, impressed, duped, beguiled, and yes, in chains - ? ...we tend to gloss over it... we'd prefer to forget the whole sorry chapter."

OK, completely honest here. Educate me if I off on this point. I have never been poor. I was never raised poor. BTW, poor meaning homeless, on government assistance. I'm not rich by any means. However my father was poor. He was raised on a 18' houseboat in Lousiana till he was about 14. His father semi abused him. He had my Father drive a boat 8 miles up a river, drop him off and he had to drive it back by himself. He waited 8 hours for his father to return. Oh yea, he was 8 years old at this time. His Dad was a trapper. Even though my father was poor I was not. I have NO CLUE what it is to possibly not eat one day. He tells me stories of his younger years that I can't imagine that happening to me. All his stories did was to convince me not to ever be in that situation. Now, slavery..........it was bad, but no one on this forum lived it. So, why keep bringing it up?
-
Ok, you said there were no white slaves, there were........now you bring up you dont need a history lesson. PNGkid is throwing facts as I do to support my statements. The history is history, it cannot be changed, BUT we can learn from it. In order to learn from it, you have to know it and understand it! About 40 messages ago I gave my spill on the things I thought Bush did well. I have to agree, Homeland security is one of the best things he's done. Although I did pose the question about if white people had been slaves...earlier than that, I posted that there were white people that were indentured. I believe there is a slight difference in the two. My eternal thanks to you and kid for "learning" me about slavery with all of your facts. Sadly, many facts have never been published in books, but as long as America was able to prosper and the select few were able to become profiteers at the expense and maltreatment/murder of others...hey, it's all good. I don't know what his legacy will be. Maybe that he rid the world of hussein, but at what expense? 9/11 was a test that no one could have truly been ready for. I think that we had no other choice than to go after binladen and it was the right thing to do, but I think that invading Iraq was not. I mean, in the history books, what will be said about why we invaded Iraq besides that hussein was responsible for some horrific atrocities. I just wish that he would have had the ability to either realize that he made a mistake (and not just with Iraq) and apologize for that particular decision. "Sadly, many facts have never been published in books, but as long as America was able to prosper and the select few were able to become profiteers at the expense and maltreatment/murder of others...hey, it's all good". Translation: When facts don't meet my agenda, I will blame the history books.........but it's all good! Translation: I am willing to not just accept what I am told and think outside the box. My agenda is to not think that it's ok that these things happened because it was just accepted, our country would have never been, people in other countries like Africa were doing it, so it should be all good. Why do you blame the history books? History books have tended to undermine the tragedies of slavery (at least the ones that I remember reading), but no GREED and LACK OF COMPASSION FOR THEIR FELLOW MAN are to blame. You are a funny little man. (I guess!) I didnt blame the history books, you do. You said, "Sadly, many facts have never been published in books". That's was a point you made to support your statements. History books are hopefully factual. If you want compassion read a romance novel. Again, we have to accept what happened in the past.....it's factual. Hopefully we will learn from it. I will never teach my son to fly a kite(with a metal key attached) in a lightning storm.........got that from a history book. I'm going to be shallow again and call you a left winger.........you had to resort to calling me a little man ;D I'm enough of a man not to get in a name calling contest with you.
