  1. I grew up in Port Arthur and currently live in Lumberton. Here are the reasons why: 1. Low crime rate - Violent crime rate on a scale of 1 to 10 is a 2 and so is property crime. Beaumont is a 6. 2. Better school district Notice race had nothing to do with it! While we are on that subject, why do you think Beaumont is rated a 6 in violent crimes? Houston is also rated a 6 in violent crimes and a 7 in property crimes. Is it wrong to want to live in a place with a low crime rate and a good education????
  2. I'm going to communicate like you on this one. LISTEN MAN.........NEVER SAID I LIKED THE KKK......NEVER MAN!!~!! LISTEN, PAY ATTENTION..........ARE YOU DUMB????? : Like I asked earlier, why was he there with a weapon?? What was his purpose?? You dont have to "like" the KKK to share their beliefs...You have not answered ONE of my questions about them either, which speaks volumes....So I am going to talk to you like this...DO YOU THINK THERE ARE ANY KLAN ON THIS SITE OR SONS/GRANDSONS OF KLAN ON HERE? Bet I still wont get a straight answer.... : :..I will wait....... : : 1. ...DO YOU THINK THERE ARE ANY KLAN ON THIS SITE ? NO, it's 2009 2. OR SONS/GRANDSONS OF KLAN ON HERE? Yes I do! That does not mean they share their same views.

  7. Why exactly do you think he was there?
  8. Way too many..........atleast 3 not counting ours
  9. Its changing alright......... In obtaining any of your degrees, where did you get your information? What country did you get you get your degrees from? You could have not possibly got it from the USA, because as you said, our text books lie. I'm sure you were only referring to the text books that teach black history, but if they lie.......I would assume you feel all our text books lie. When you look in the justice system, 46% of the population is black, 36% white, and 16% hispanic. Do you feel all the black people are not guilty? Maybe the percent should be higher........look at OJ! He got away with murder. :
  10. how would a 2 day tourny work? you fish for two days Seriously, you do...Saturday and Sunday. The only issue is people would have to camp, trailer back or get a room.
  11. Sounds good to me. Are you speaking of evening before supper or meeting a few weeks before? Either is good for me. We need to start planning now and get several boats. If we planned it far enough out, we could even do a two day
  12. Hippie is Hippy...........vpbaseball and partner said they caught them on flukes in 4 ft of water. We caught ours from 10 - 16 ft of water.
  13. Well, hippie was catching them on soft plastics, crankbaits, spinners....... TVC caught a few as well on cranks....
  14. Yes, next time we will have to add to the rules...."no professional fisherman allowed". ;D ;D I have to give Vpbaseball#9 a hard time because TVC and I thought we had it until the 7 lb bass showed up! I agree, we all had common friends and it's a blast actually meeting the person (and they look nothing like what you pictured). Based on TVC's post sometimes, I thought I would have to throw him in the water at some point..... But he's a good guy and like he said, we had a lot in common.
  15. Winner by a looonnngggg shot VPbaseball#9 - partner - had 1 bass that went 7lbs 11 ounces. They had about 6 other fish as well. There was no need to weigh all their fish because of the one large fish. TVC and I had two fish that went 4 lbs 12 ounces. I believe Cardinal Supporter - partner had 4lbs 9 ounces. We had a blast and everyone wants to do this more often.
  16. Lucky......I'm leaving around 5pm Good luck and stay safe
  17. Wahington Post I think.............my bad
  18. The Obama administration ignores voter intimidation Imagine if Ku Klux Klan members had stood menacingly in military uniforms, with nightsticks, in front of a polling place. Add to it that they had hurled racial threats and insults at voters who tried to enter. Now suppose that the government, backed by a nationally televised video of the event, had won a court case against the Klansmen except for the perfunctory filing of a single, simple document - but that an incoming Republican administration had moved to voluntarily dismiss the already-won case. Surely that would have been front-page news, with a number of firings at the Justice Department. The flip side of this scenario is occurring right now. The culprits weren't Klansmen; they belonged to the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense. One of the defendants, Jerry Jackson, is an elected member of Philadelphia's 14th Ward Democratic Committee and was a credentialed poll watcher for Barack Obama and the Democratic Party when the violations occurred. Rather conveniently, the Obama administration has asked that the cases against Mr. Jackson, two other defendants and the party be dropped. The Voting Rights Act is very clear. It prohibits any "attempt to intimidate, threaten or coerce" any voter or those aiding voters. The explanation for moving to dismiss the case is shocking. According to the Department of Justice: "These same Defendants have made no appearance and have filed no pleadings with the Court. Nor have they otherwise raised any other defenses to this action. Therefore, the United States has the right ... to dismiss voluntarily this action against the Defendants." In other words, because the defendants haven't tried to defend themselves, the Justice Department won't punish them. By that logic, if a murderer doesn't respond to the charges, he should be let free. That's crazy. The Obama Justice Department did take one action against one of the four defendants: It forbade him from again "displaying a weapon within 100 feet of any open polling location" in Philadelphia. Given that it already was illegal to display a weapon at a polling place and that he was not even enjoined from carrying a weapon at polling places outside of Philadelphia, it is hard to see what this order accomplished. We asked the Justice Department if it was unable to provide any explanation for dropping the case. Justice press aide Alejandro Miyar merely said: "That is correct." Multiple times we asked both the department and the White House to comment on charges that the dismissals represented political bias. We received no substantive response. Hans Von Spakovsky, a legal scholar at the Heritage Foundation and a former commissioner at the Federal Election Commission, tells us, "In my experience, I have never heard of the department refusing to take a default judgment... . If a Republican administration had done this, it would be front-page news and every civil rights group in the country would be screaming about it." Consider that the behavior of the defendants was so bad that witness Bartle Bull, a former Robert F. Kennedy organizer who did extensive legal work on behalf of black voters in Mississippi, testified it was "the most blatant form of voter discrimination I have encountered in my life." Eric Eversole, a former litigation attorney with the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department, told us: "It is truly unprecedented for the Voting Section to voluntarily dismiss a case of such blatant intimidation. The video speaks for itself." We couldn't agree more. After the 2000 Presidential election, Democrats complained about voter intimidation in Florida by pointing to a police car that had been two miles away from a polling place. The police didn't do anything to anyone, but their presence was deemed sufficient to vaguely intimidate people en route to the polls. In this case, the New Black Panther Party actually blocked access to a poll. Unlike the Florida incident, this case involving the New Black Panthers screams out for tough justice. Instead, the Obama administration looks the other way. This all but invites racial violence at future elections!
  19. Modified first message of this thread...........please read
  20. Wait till you see it. I have rigged it like a bass boat. ;D
  21. I need to take a break just after reading that!
  22. JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE WE ARE STILL ON FOR SATURDAY!! I'm going to ask TVC to make a large sign to hold up at the boat ramp. ;D ;D Actually, everyone look for my boat. It's a white BayHawk center console with a 200HP Evinrude.
  23. I agree with you 100%. He will grow up fast enough......heck, he's 8 and I can't get a hug before I drop him off for school. :'(
  24. Wow....thanks for all the input. I will check it out myself. To be honest, I try to keep it real with my kid. I want him to know certain things so I can explain why they are stupid or inappropriate. My thought process is to get him all the knowledge he can. But from some of these post, I don't want him to think that a strip club is in his future for High School. Hell, when I was in school, we went to the Pelican Club in Louisiana, never a strip bar. :'(
