Would be nice to have a home game at BH be having a long drive. I think BH wins out.

Cougs win this one by comfortable margin.
question is if they make the playoffs, will 14.2 come back?

Serious question here. Will BH be able to get them to pause the playoffs until their players are able to return? That way there are no excuses and everything will be on a level playing field. Word is on the street that they are the only team in the State of Texas to have a players off injured or that’s just what I heard.
You joined just to say that? Let me know when the parade is and when you will hang the banner for this game, I hope its before next Tuesday though because it will be basketball season on Wed.

Freshman volleyball has very little carryover to varsity. Most of the top freshman are either playing JV or Varsity already. I wouldn't put too much stock in it.
-
Oh boy, cool your jets, BH had 3 starters out. Congrats on the win but that was a lineup that had not seen the light of day and a freshman JV setter getting her first varsity playing time. Good environment but surely it was very obvious that was the not the same BH team that put a beatdown on Nederland just a few weeks ago.

Hill showing their character once again. Imagine how much crying to staff would happen if we started name calling after every bad call from BH posters.
great game by BH you should beat PAM too. Everyone’s very confused how you managed to lose to La Porte tho…
Two LBs were out against a running team, one who also punts and was the star in the Crosby game, and the D1 LT were out. Laporte was also at full strength, neither team is the same team that played that night.
As for the ding dong comment, you basically said we were going to get blown out which was more wishful thinking on the coogs part so I'll allow it
Can you please tell 14.2 its ok to come back to eat some crow, he doesnt have to quit all season on his coogs and the forum LOL. Talk about taking your ball and going home. Seriously hope something isnt really wrong but seems awfully coincidental on the timing of being MIA.

You obviously don't know who I'm talking about. HA!
I'm talkng about the 6'4 WR that is playing JV right now at Crosby that quit on BH in the middle of the season. Congrats if you have done this to more than one player I guess, something to be proud of!

Transfer Portal is working on the wr position for next year.Could be some surprises already there and coming .
Its been covered, will be interesting to see if he will ever be eligible since he moved you know for athletic purposes within district from BH to Crosby.

Eudy finished the game 21-27 for 411 yards and 7 TDs.
Myles has not had a game that looks anything like last years play. I think there is a good argument to play a healthy Eudy over a not 100% Myles against Laporte. I know someone is going to say “it’s Sterling”, but his first varsity start and he still has to complete the passes. Crosby does not have blazing speed receivers like last year to just throw the ball up so they can go get it. Eudy was hitting those receivers in stride. Myles has numerous starts against “bad” teams the last two years, and he hasn’t thrown for 400 yards. Eudy does it on first start. I’m not hating on Myles, just move him to receiver or DB where he can use his legs.Convince me different.
I've been saying it for a year, Kirkwood made Miles look like a star last year. I hope Kirkwood got team MVP last year because Crosby misses that dude.
Still dont get how the Sterling coach is getting a free pass, no excuse to get blown out every game. They have enough athletes to be in games.

Interesting read from @LoboFan07
He thinks BH doesnt make the playoffs.
DISTRICT EIGHT
After trailing the entire game, the Crosby Cougars got the much needed win they had been vying as they took the lead with under 5 minutes left in the game to knock off New Caney Porter, 26-21. It was the third consecutive district game for the Spartans that they have lost by a single score. The other three games were blow outs. Kingwood Park rolled over Goose Creek Memorial, 41-14. Port Arthur Memorial sped past La Porte, 54-34. Barber Hill dominated Baytown Lee, 43-14. Baytown Sterling was off. Next week, Goose Creek Memorial travels to Port Arthur Memorial, Baytown Lee travels to Kingwood Park, Crosby travels to Sterling and La Porte travels to New Caney Porter. Barbers Hill will be off. Goose Creek Memorial’s loss to Kingwood Park this week officially eliminated them. Gotta feel for the Spartans after so many close losses. Kingwood Park and Port Arthur Memorial will decide the district title, but it isn’t until the final week of the season. We’re looking at 3 teams right now for the final 2 spots. Barbers Hill has a win over Crosby but a loss to La Porte. Crosby and La Porte meet on 10/28, La Porte’s regular season season finale. Barbers Hill definitely has the strongest schedule left with Kingwood Park, Port Arthur Memorial then New Caney Porter to end the season after their bye week this week. It really is a toss up on who gets that final spot. I’m not sure if in a three way tie, as I’m suspecting we’ll have (all teams finishing 5-3), if they’ll go to a point determination then seed based on head to head. If that’s the case, right now it’s La Porte +7, Crosby -1, Barbers Hill -6. So La Porte could lose to Crosby, if that’s the way they go, but they just couldn’t lose by 13. I’m thinking we’ll see Crosby win out, including a win over La Porte, because they play the two worst teams in the district sandwiched by La Porte right after their bye week. Barbers Hill should lose their next two, then that Porter game becomes really tricky and they’re in a must win situation. La Porte is in a must win situation next week against Porter before taking on Sterling then Crosby. I will say, New Caney Porter also has a decent shot of going 4-0 to end the year, which would throw the 3 way tie off and push Crosby into 3rd and Porter into 4th. But right now, I’m going with Crosby getting 3rd and La Porte getting 4th based on the tiebreaker situation mentioned earlier. -
Was a tight game through the 1st qtr, Lee actually scored on the last play of the qtr. Offense finally woke up and scored quickly after that before there was a pick 6. Lee's turnovers doomed them so the defense played well and did their job. Offense looked good too, overall a good game in one that I thought was going to be much tighter. Big win.

With the loss to GCM last night, it looks like PNG would have to run the table the rest of the way to have a shot at the playoffs. That was an amazing 40 plus year run for the Noos!
Wowza, if they lost to GCM then yeah that seals the deal I would think.

Does PNG have a realistic shot at making the playoffs? If they don’t make the playoffs, that will be the first time for the Noos to miss the playoffs since the early 1970’s. All good things must come to an end!
I would say they do not have a good chance. BH beat Crosby last night and Sterling beat Nederland so if PNG can beat one of those schools they may can sneak in. Crosby has Sterling Friday, if Crosby beats Sterling again then I'd say PNG is toast but if Crosby loses then maybe they have a chance to atleast tie them up.

If it takes just two plays being out to cahnge the outcome against them...man.
Pretty thin at defense bro, absolutely it changes it especially against a wing T team the following week.

Kingwood Park is definitely the better team in this first half, but they haven't put much distance between them and Lp.
I really am struggling to understand what happened against Barbers Hill that gave Lp the win.
BH had two starting LBs out, one who is also the punter and was player of the game vs Crosby and starting LT.

2nd round should be interesting. There will most likely be 3 teams 5-2 going into it. I’m just glad we’ll be at home for both Sterling and Nederland and we seem to have settled into a good lineup after losing a key player.
What is interesting is the difference between 2nd seed and 3rd/4th is huge. You do not want to play Friendswood or Manvel 1st round.

I'd imagine so but you'd also think a kid wouldn't make that move unless they believed they had a solid case for the UIL, I have seen it occur when they could prove they were closing on a house before the season started. To be fair I've seen that 3 times. All three situations were Rental -> purchase that started before season but for reasons took a long period to finalize. Not sure what this kids situation actually was but baselessly making claims of recruiting seems to be outside the interest of everyone involved. The only person that gets hurt by the UIL is the kid.
Probably should understand the rules and not listen to outside "handlers" and influencers. You are right the kid gets hurt and the ones in his ear have nothing to lose. This all started during 7 on 7 during the summer.
