Coach brooks told me Stephenville but I'm sure things could change that's just what coach told me.

I talked to coach brooks from Silsbee last night after the bridge city game he said that #8 Silsbee will be playing #7 Stephenville in the tournament in Fort worth and coach SIG said they are going to fort worth as well.

Silsbee was one of the smallest teams in 3a  and I think for silsbee making their schedule tough did make the difference in their run last year even though they lost on a controversial call at the end to la vega 2 years ago silsbee lost to a huge Sealy team pretty bad Sealy height killed silsbee but before that game silsbee blew out kountze in a warm up game , the difference was kountze had no height either and tried to run with silsbee and could not so the tigers beefed up their schedule with a lot of bigger teams and stronger teams it helped the tigers a lot in their playoff run beating a big and talented brookshire royal team ,the tigers were teased a lot about being a small team but people were shocked that they played so well together , they were the only 3a team in the 4a 5a bracket in the Sherman tournament and this year they won it so strenght of schedule means a lot.

Good win Nederland int foul could have went either way though, with Silsbee's speed they should have drove to the basket a lot more than they did , settling for the outside shot help keep Nederland in this game and gave them a chance, silsbee is not where they were last year yet but they are getting there.

Watching on all the fox networks on dish network the title says carrol vs de Soto but they are not showing the game

Pius remember guys as bad as silsbee played they cut a 16 point lead to 1 and then took the lead before they lost the game so the guys will be in good shape just need to settle down and get focus , this team will be fine coach sig will have the tigers ready.

Carthage has a great football team a lot of talk on this site is mainly in good fun we know Carthage is good we beat y'all in 98 and y'all beat us last night so were even but you have to finish the job and win it all, good thing for silsbee is that we still have basketball in which we are better in than football right now and a good chance to win state in that sport as well ,yeah it hurts that we lost but let's not get too cocky , just as Carthage was predicted the better team against silsbee , stephenville will be predicted the better team against Carthage if y'all make it ,so you guys get the credit for your victory but don't rub it in too much because stephenville or el campo may be doing it to you guys in the up coming weeks. Oh and silsbee does have a better chance against Yates than Carthage does against stephenville , their not the Yates of the past their very beatable.    Way to go tigers.  Good luck carthage

The series is tied 1-1 ok and plus after Carthage football season will be  over without the state title ,they can sit back and watch silsbee in basketball , silsbee has a better chance of winning state in basketball than Carthage does in football, stephenville and Abilene Wylie are on another level.

Hey guys where can I find archive footage of silsbee vs Carthage and silsbee vs el campo in the 1998 playoffs

That was the worst game that the wo-s defense had had all year but wo-s defensive line and line backers can carve up any offensive line and get to the QB almost as soon as the ball is snapped.

Silsbee should use some of the game plan that they had when they spanked Carthage the last time these 2 teams played , this one will be a shoot out , this game could be similar to the Silsbee Livingston game this season and Wo-s speed is not what beat Silsbee their up front defense is what caused a lot of problems late in that game and Carthage does not have that type of speed or pressure on defense like Wo-s , the tigers know that they would go to state if they win they will be ready trust me,plus a chance at some school history if they can keep winning . Last time they ever played Silsbee beat Carthage.

Don't get too over confident guys west orange stark has 6 straight  shut outs and 7 D1 players on defense so they are trying to shut out everybody Wo-s are the ones yall should look out for, High school wise they are ranked #3 in the country  on defense

Stats are what there are just stats now Wo-s may win but it definitely will not be easy ,plus Silsbee is the least of your worries ,Navasota with an awesome defense will be waiting and a better offense than Wo-s and if they Navasota they will score too.

Don't put so much emphasis on this game guys the bigger picture is the playoffs , Silsbee will not see another defense like this in the playoffs , so it is possible they could go farther than Wo-s in D1 but if Wo-s can get pass Navasota they could win it all, Silsbee could go at least 3 rounds before they face a real contender but doubt if were ready for Stephenville, so our district will be represented very well good luck teams and please stay injury free.

What division is Navasota going to D1 or D2 it will probably decide whether Silsbee go at least 3 rounds or not Navasota is tough

It is possible that Silsbee could sit some players out or pull them at halftime to have them ready for the playoffs ,this game is really meaningless both teams are in and want to stay as healthy as possible.

But you know if Silsbee beats Wo-s by 1 point or by 20 people will say wo-s is still the best team and Silsbee was very lucky or it would be a fluke or something the tigers would get no credit because people will say it should not have happen.

Silsbee is ranked in the top 20 and jasper is not some of the coaches across the state see something in the tigers.
