Guys has anyone seen the basketball schedule for this year just wondering if we will have the same old water down schedule or a much stronger schedule more or less a 4a and 5a schedule I liked it when the tigers were not afraid to play anyone and Joe schedule a lot of 4a and 5a teams I think it will make the tigers much stronger

so will Silsbee be playing another Houston  school next year and continue this rotation of Houston schools and if so who will they play

I heard that Joe sigler might be in the mix again a great regular season coach but not so good in the playoffs could be interesting

Any word if any on the list of candidates for the head coaching job at silsbee haven't really heard anything since coach joubert got that job with kountze

Will silsbee ever get turf at tiger stadium and how will silsbee football really be I hear this group of guys should really be good for some years to come

so is ir brooks going to be the coach even though he is not fully certified or is their another coach out their that will fit and take my tigers to state

do you know when the public will know

does anybody have a clear idea on who the coach will be or is it all still speculaton just waiting on them to say coach joubert so i can feel better

I could be wrong but from what i heard coach jubert has been in serious talks about the silsbee job and wants that job and will get that job but the superintendant and principal are out of town and he must tal to them also but the principal at silsbee was at kountze and i'm sure will have no problem welcoming coach jubert in to tiger town and man i hope so their will be a solid basketball program from top to bottom their always have been but we would be getting a man that i feel will finally get us over the top for so many years i feel we haven't had a coach to get us over the top coach sig was always a regular seae littlson coach and not to sucessful in the playoffs and coach t and brooks have done a fabulous job as well but i feel like coach joubert can coach and develope young players we have had too many big men that really have not been properly trained and fundementally trained i feel he can really clean up a lot of things at silsbee and get this team mentally and pysically prepared from the little dribblers to middle school to high school coach joubert can get the job done coach joubert is our coach at silsbee high

HtGuys i am a long time tiger fan and always will be but i cant help but wnder why we can't win a state championship i know it's not easy but with the talent that we have had for atleast the past 10-15 years you mean to tell me we can't just win 1 much less even get t the state tittle game it seems like something some how just keeps us from winning the big game hopefully i'm not being to hard but i'm a little upset right now will we ever win a state championship or  just continue to rack up great regular seasons :)

I learned that in the past 4 years or so Silsbee has scored at least 30 to 40 points every playoff game and cannot win in the playoffs why cant we play defense like wo-s and when will be able to have a solid defense  but i will be careful what i ask for we might get a defense and no offence no matter what keep working hard tigers we have the tallent soon we will put it all together at once and make a serious run at state i hope . Tiger fan for life.

Just curious on why silsbee did not throw the deep ball at all to lane in stead of slanting him to the middle they had a mismatch with the smaller huffman defender most of the night lane could of had a much bigger game i mean drop back load one up and throw it lane had pleanty of one on one matchups i saw him catch a few balls but he really could have had a monster game plus he is a big playmaker on offense i could be wrong but i though we did not get him involve enought  untill very late in the game. Some playcalling was questionable. great game tigers

Does anyone have Silsbee's Basketball Schedule

Just wanted to know about the tigers this year after jj left will the tigers be able to give wo-s a run for district and will the tigers be any good at qb since jj is gone and also does anyone think the igers can make a deep run in the playoffs this year. by the way has anyone heard anything on tiger stadium getting turf.

Coach McGallion said that the turf was put on hold but serious being talked considered but if they are going to do it this year they better hurry up the season will be here quick they will make a lot of money if they do and recieve a lot of request for playoff games sounds like a good deal and no more messy fields.

Coach McGallion said that Waltrip has been a playoff team in 4a for at least 3 years and will be good competion for the young tigers.

Listed on Kirbyville's schedule it says Kirbyville vs Vidor at Silsbee are these 2 teams going to play in tiger stadium if so there will be a packed house especially if they get turf at tiger stadium.

Man Allen has an awsome stadium man i am just still wondering whether silsbee will get turf or not after that horrible field we had to play on last year even though it helped us beat Wo-s we probably lost a chance at getting a lot of playoff games because of it i remember when silsbee stadium first open we were one of the better stadium around now we are quickly becomming second fiddle to other schools but we need turf bad.

Guys i watch the tigers against wo-s and the first 3 quaters they played very averaged as if to say more relaxed wo-s tried to jump all over silsbee and for all wo-s did for at least through those 3 quaters they had no more than a 4 point lead silsbee finally made a very key adjustment which i think was be biggest difference in the game by putting Dc Stallworth back under the boards instead of pushing the basketball he had at least 13-15 points in the 4th quater alone but silsbee finally played the way i knew they could and shut down wo-s in the 4th if coach williams really turns this team a loose then they could win it all no disrespect to the other teams everyone at regional is good but wo-s could not move the ball or even barely get a shot off in that 4th quaters 7 of wo-s 9 points came from the free throw line this team has all the components to win it all they just have to do it . To me it seemed like this team went back to the old way of basketball that us tigers fan know they really played like a veteran ball club if they can beat hudson and hj can beat ff then saturday will in many ways be the state championship just not in austin. I wish both hj and silsbee the best it shows the state that there is great basketball here and as a die hard tiger fan lets focus 1 game at a time. I think the tigers really woke up during the 4th quater of the wo-s game and should start really rolling from there. GOOD LUCK TIGERS JUST WIN.

Freethrows are a result of practice the tigers can win a state title if the coaches really turn this team a loose this it seems like there something is holding this team back they should be whipping teams this team is playing to relaxed it's time to take the gloves off to much talent from year to year not to be winning state titles silsbee lets get serious and start putting teams away our tigers are making thing harder for themselves than they have to no disrespect to any of the other playoff teams but i have seen the tigers at there best earlier in the season they need to get there swager back and step it up can't stand to see another lost year with all the talent we have. good luck tigers go get WO-S
