  1. I agree with MOM. Have you ever noticed behind every great man there is a women telling him what to do....he he! Just joking guys! ;D Yeah, yeah, yeah
  2. Coach Barbay told my son he will only coach one more year after this year. Seems he wants to spend some time with his family and he wants to help his grandson when he starts playing. I will be anxious to see if W.T. applies for the head position when Barbay retires. That would be interesting to see.
  3. Wow! A very legitimate play. The defense never even touched the holder who picked the ball up as they were too busy celebrating. That's why you always keep playing until the whistle blows.
  4. I think this fact alone would make a Anahuac vs. Newton playoff game interesting.
  5. Vidor @ PNG Anahuac @ East Chambers West Brook @ Baytown Lee THURS Baytown Sterling @ PA Memorial Barbers Hill @ Dayton Central @ Nederland Livingston @ LCM Lumberton @ Ozen Diboll @ Center Jasper @ Huntington Bridge City @ Silsbee Hamshire Fannett @ WOS Orangefield @ Hardin Jefferson Hemphill @ Kirbyville Newton @ San Augustine Shelbyville @ Woodville Deweyville @ Warren Hardin @ Kountze High Island @ Evadale West Hardin @ Sabine Pass
  6. After reading all of the posts from August, this thread has the word C-R-O-W written all over it.
  7. I guess it wasn't a good night to have a horse for a mascot. LOL! I didn't even think about that, but hey you are right!!
  8. Sorry Soulja... it was too tempting. The devil made me do it ;D
  9. haha ok please.. remember L-train a couple seasons back.. that was annoying! PNG shuts up nay-sayers wins big, then seals the playoff deal when vidor comes to town!! ;D not a chance png gets stomped by livingston this week and just wait till u play lumberton Were is this guy at that said the Indians get stomped? Probably dining on a nice bowl of crow for breakfast.
  10. I agree Jack. The Rebs have become one of my favorite teams in the area as well. They used to be the under dogs, but they are now laying the wood. I also think they should be ranked higher in the 1A polls. Keep doing what you do Rebs... eventually someone at the AP will wake up and show you some love.
  11. I agree J-Dawgs. It's time for those AP guys to start showing the Dawgs some love.
  12. Someone needs to go wake SFA85 up and tell him the news. Not only have the Titans upset the #5 ranked team in the state and are headed to the playoffs, but now they have a shot at District!
  13. LOL Proud! This post needs to be added to the Classics! Somehow, I seemed to have missed this secret weapon of Livingston's tonight. Let's see, I saw one of your potential secret weapons GET EJECTED FROM THE GAME....was that him? I saw a QB connect on 1 of 5 passes, but that 1 was to THE WRONG TEAM!.... was THAT the secret weapon? Maybe it was that little fellow, you know, the punter dude, that was RUNNING FOR HIS LIFE, OUT OF THE BACK OF THE WRONG ENDZONE? Surely HE wasn't the secret weapon. O.K., I give up, which one was he, ....oh, never mind, I know, it was that fella in the stripes that gave yall the PF that kept your only real drive alive, so yall could score. Please, tell me you had more in mind than just those guys! LOL
  14. "From East Houston to the Sabine River to Lake Livingston, several teams are 'upset' over Friday night losses."
  15. You have not payed much attention this year I see. Livingston runs the same offense you do and were only a few yards behind Vidor in rushing offense in the district. That was without padding stats against the church league schools and 3A teams. I expect both teams to come out fired up. PN-G needs to keep their emotions in check and cut down on penalties. I think Vidor get some yards, but not up to their average and PN-G scores late to win a good one 28-17. Uh oh! <Duck!>
  16. OOOOHHH YEAH! In the first quarter, she was hollering for her Lions to not touch the punt. Due to the weather, our band didn't get into the stands until way after the game started. When the band started playing, it drowned her out. After the half, PNG dominated, so it shut her and their train horn up. I'd much rather hear Cherokee that hear her coaching! I like to hear, and expect to hear Homer announcers. This gal takes the cake! I couldn't take much of that at all!! That being said, the Livingston folks were very friendly and hospitable. I understand there were some terrible rumors going around town that we would trash the place. I assured them that we were well behaved and thanked them for having us. The visitor stands are small, but you are right on the field and could see and hear every hit. Their concession stand food is better than ours. Except for the rain, it was a great night. If the UIL will not allow cow bells, that obnoxious train horn should be illegal too!
  17. LOL! Excellent!! I agree that there should be some type of UIL rule against that. I dont have a problem with a home town announcer being excited for their team... happens in every pressbox. Just turn the friggin' mike off so that EVERYONE doesn't have to listen to you. I wonder what the real coaches must be thinking when they hear her calling the plays? But anyway... great win for the Indians! Maybe ya'll will finally play someone this coming week j/k
  18. To the Indian fans who were at the game: how did the announcer perform? Did she help 'coach' the Lions from the booth as usual?
  19. Another upset!! Santa Fe has really opened some eyes this year.
  20. Anyone who beats Southlake Carroll has my respect. Anyone who beats the team who beat SC by 2 TD's really has my respect! Way to go in layin' the wood to them Titans! NS has had this coming to them for a loooooong time!
