Playing out of state teams seems to be the new rage in HS football. Especially at the 5A level. How about inviting someone over from across the Sabine? Vinton or Sulphur isn't too far away.

Who in the heck does this poll? They have 22-5A Pearland Oilers in the #22 spot on a Texas "4A" poll. Also, I agree that Santa Fe is having their best season in years, but ranked #12 in the state??

4th place will probably come down to LaMarque or Santa Fe. I never count the Cougars out, but Santa Fe is having their best season in years. That will be an interesting match up.

' Probably Brazosport, Maybe La Marque could raise some eye brows..Also Sante Fe is doing really good, Alvin could slip in their also as they played Dawson Very Close in week one. The playoff race could come down to the final weeks. Alvin is 24-5A

No doubt that Angleton is the real deal this year. Someone from 20-4A will be lining up against them in a few weeks.

Hey Maverick, from this post I can tell that you are not familiar with 1A football. FYI: High Island and Sabine Pass have been in District play with Burkeville for over 20 years. SP a few less, but thats another story. We also played West Sabine for a few years and for a two year span we traveled to Cushing for District. Two years ago Burkeville moved to a northern district, but they have settled back in D23. Now that HD & West Hardin are 2A(have been for several years now) we have an 8 team district. Thanks Cardinal Fan. You guys must have some very nice travel budgets LOL!

I totally agree with you guys about the realignment. Whoever at the UIL made the decision to place Livingston in this district needs to buy a new map! I am betting that the Livingston travel budget will like it too.
