  1. I think the ultimate form of respect is when your last opponent, who before the game doubted just how good you really were, is predicting you in a blowout of your next opponent.
  2. Thanks for the support mom. Saw a few BC folks last night.
  3. I KNOW they didn't, but you can believe what you want. They were the better team. If we played them 10 times last year, they would have beaten us in 6 of them. I truly feel like we were the 2nd best team in the state last year and Wimberley was the best, but I'm not buying the "overconfident" excuse, and yes, that is nothing more than an excuse.
  4. Kville scored 16 points, the most we gave up in one game all season.
  5. I haven't seen anything but positive posts from the BC folks, save Trooper. I, for one, appreciate that.
  6. You are correct, they did tie Kville, I was not aware of that. Congrats silsbee!! I was told that they were "undefeated" until last weeks loss to a 2-7 OF team. Guess I should have made sure they were undefeated AND untied...
  7. 7th- 8-1 (5-1) District Runners Up 8th- 7-1-1 (4-1-1) District Runners Up Freshman- 5-2-2 (4-1-1) District Champs JV- 9-0 (6-0) District Champs
  8. Yes... the WO-S JV is real good. The thing that's most exciting is that there were only 3 juniors on the JV, the rest are Sophomores. The defense is outstanding! They dominated this game against a good BC team. I was impressed with the BC QB (Breaux), he wasn't enough to make a difference in this game, but you can see his potential.
  9. Should be a good one then because the WO-S JV has about the same stats defensively as well as the same number of shut outs.
  10. Hup, to answer your question, yes, Bevil does go to receiver in those situations. He is a good receiver as well. The kid that was playing QB those few times is J. Franks. He can throw it too, he just didn't the other night. He is like 4-4 w/ 2 TD's this year. He doesn't throw a lot, but when he does it is usually a big play.
  11. That sux, I was looking forward to seeing the veer tonite...
  12. I agree, LH would be a tough one... and another Wing-T team.
  13. It is true that Dayton did have a few good runs against WO-S, but I really don't see the correlation with that being, in some way, a sign that SHS will have success. Dayton scored 9 points. If SHS scores 9 points, I am pretty sure they are beat. Plus, SHS has not played anyone even close to the caliber of Dayton. The only team you could even consider anywhere close would be PNG who lost 42-0 to LCM, another team WO-S beat handily. I truly expect this to be a tough game, but I expect it to be that way because I'm certain SHS will have the best game they have had all year. I don't expect the turnovers that they've been having. I expect this to be a well played, hard nose game. I DON'T think what either team has done to this point against anyone else matters. It will be about WO-S stopping the dive play and the big O line and about Silsbee finding a way to stop WO-S' wide open offense.
  14. Question... why do you think Silsbee will be able to do that this week when they couldn't last week against HF?
  15. Me too, I have a feeling that Arizona is going to take Chicago OUT!!!
  16. I vote we do it after the game. I have to pick Christian up in Houston and will be pushing it trying to get back for the kickoff.
