If you are giving me Silsbee +14, how much?

our starting linebacker played rb for the first time ever and hung 200+ yards on yall. yet for some reason yall thinking  that the "one dimensinal" team won't do well vs your defense. hell,, on the fly that night we were not one dimensional we were 1 playered.

Let's be honest... the slot T was developed to give unathletic kids a chance to be competitive against another team with superior athletes.  It actually works a lot of time, until a defense is able to slow down the T's running.

We ALL agree that Bellville's defense is completely unprepared for Silsbee's offensive attack.  The only question is whether Silsbee's defense can to do to Bellville what they've already done to Vidor.

Yes Silsbee won against us.  But what's  Bellville got to be afraid of? The past two years combined  they scored 47 pts. winning by a total of 4 pts . yeah sure, if you going by when they played BC they probably come across as the unstoppable force. lmao.

you need to change your username from CardinalBacker to Tigger.

R&b, piggly wiggly, obannon’s, sunshine grocery..all those north side stores bring back memories.

as far as this game, it reminds me of the Jasper vs Liberty Hill game back in the day.  LH had 3 or maybe even 4 1000 yard rushers.  And true to form they ran 6-8 yards per run all night long.  Jasper scored three td before a player from LH touched a bulldog with the ball.

the game was high scoring and ended with a goal line stop for jasper to advance to the state championship.

this game lines up to be very exciting with big time players making big time plays.  Neither team will dominate. A couple big plays will be the difference.

then they(LH) won state the next two years.

According to you he isnt that good. According to college recruits, he's a 5 Star. I think I'll stick with college recruits. I wonder what his basketball stats are vs Jasper 😂😂😂😂

nah. I didn't give kid his props at all did I ?

I will break it down even further for you . I was bragging about the fact of how well the DAWGS have defended him. Seeing is believing it's said so if I was to go by only what I saw in person it's nothing special. I guarantee no other team as held him to totals like that over 2 years.

I saw Patrick Mahomes Jr at Whitehouse and didn't see what I see today. So there goes that theory.

well here ya go here is fact for you.

    2022  -5 rushing 31 receiving 0 tds

    2023   66 rushing 54 receiving 0 tds

the two years against the DAWGS  that I saw personally combined totals 61 rushing and 84 receiving with 0 tds is at best average stats.

    Possibly...

But what the heck, Ill provide some substance.

You are correct, mostly, on Miller not visually standing out EVERY PLAY of the game.

This is what makes him a great player and teammate.  Also, why Silsbee is a balanced offensive team.

He will rarely catch 10+ receptions, have 200+ receiving yards, multiple TDs, etc.

His Junior year will probably be his best statistical year, for obvious reasons.

Its no coincidence that Silsbee had 3000+ YDs rushing AND 2800+ Passing YDs as a TEAM.

Biggest indicator of his ability to control & change the game is TDs. He makes the play when its in his hands to do so.

Silsbee Tigers scored 80+ TDs last year...  Dre'Lon Miller had 30% of those TDs.

Execution of his ability is why he is the best player on the field and few people see the effectiveness because it is rarely accompanied by bright lights.

    jmo

    lol.  great substance. thank you.

stay tuned for my breakdown of my post.(cause you obviously didn't get it)

Ask Jasper's coach why did he double and triple team him leaving #11 and #7 wide open. He went for close to 1400 yard receiving and 20 TDs each of the last 2 seasons. This season Cartwright has become the other big play WR. I believe both of them have over a 1000 yard receiving this season.

you make it seem like Jasper the only team to use more than 1 player to defend Miller. Knowing that not correct.

Again, going by what I personally saw to say Miller is the best player in a game when he walks on the field simply didn't show the past two seasons.

#1 for Silsbee will be the best player on the field. And I" believe everyone will agree on that..😁

For me, I have no doubt that Miller is outstanding and is worthy of all the hype that is given.  The amount of DI offers is proof of the young man's skills.  no shade whatsoever am I trying to put out

That said, the past two seasons when the opportunity to see him in person come along (as a fan of football ya want to see a great player do his thing) (as a Jasper fan just want to win the game)he didn't stand out as the best player on the field  As a matter of fact,  I think Jaspers #4  was.

Last year, (again going by what I saw) Silsbee #11 impressed me more than #1.

Best of luck to our District mates.
