  1. Hypothetical for you: I don't know if you are a coach or not, but lets say you are a head Football coach in the community you are from. You always "lived and breathed" for your community and team as a player. Later your dream comes true and you are hired as a coach. You go far beyond just being there to collect a paycheck. You really invest yourself and put in all the extra effort. You also invest by buying a home and living in your community. You build your team up, and are super excited for your fourth year as HC, thinking all the hard work you have put in is about to pay off in a big way for your program. Then, the summer before the season starts, a supposedly hot-shot coach from another area becomes available and your ISD decides to hire him to take your spot you earned because he "might be 1% better than you", although that's unproven. You are not fired, but reassigned to coach 7th grade girls tennis. Would you happily say "the best coaches coach" then?
  2. Sorry but I don't have a kid in HS baseball. Nor did I ever have one. I was speaking in broad terms which could apply to all sports for both boys and girls. I am just communicating / discussing. No need to take a tone like that.
  3. That should definitely be in favor of the transfer, you would have to think.
  4. I never said anything about grades. What I did comment on is the statement "Can't get those memories back" which I agree with. If a transfer comes in and displaces a hometown kid who has worked his butt off for years with full dedication and effort to the program and earned his starting spot, then yes I don't think that's a good thing at all. It would leave a very bitter taste for years I would think. So is it worth it? If winning at all costs is the only thing that matters to you, then maybe you do bench the loyal kid that finally earned his spot and start the transfer who might have arrived to use the program solely for self promotion. Then what happens if the transfer doesn't equate to significantly more wins for you? Or he even causes trouble? Your loyal Senior player who you benched "Can't get those memories back". Loyalty matters to me but maybe not to some others.
  5. BH advanced. I don't have the score but they did beat G. Ball.
  6. BH advances to Round 3 with a 1-0 win over a tough Fulshear team in game 2.
  7. BH rallies and wins 6-5 in 7! What a game!
  8. Fulshear pulls ahead 5-2 after 5.
  9. Tied 2-2 after 4.5.
  10. 2-0 BH after 2.
  11. BH dropped the 1st game against Angleton 2-1, then blasted them in game 2 and 3. 2nd round series against Fulshear starts tonight on the road. BH has a really good Sophomore pitcher and a few Seniors leading the team. Not a lot of depth though, in my opinion. The hitting can be good but its a bit inconsistent.
  12. That's the thing, transfers come in and ultimately displace a hometown guy that paid his dues all up through the system from 7th grade on. I bet it leaves a real sour taste that will last a lifetime at least to some degree.
  13. But keep in mind, these are just opinions. We are just having a conversation, that's all. I know I am not throwing shade at any team or trying to "bury" any player. Also keep in mind he had much better tools around him at athletic Anahuac than he did at 8th grade Hardin. If what I am reading others say is correct, Ned won't have "that" much around him to help out. Again its just an opinion, I wish all concerned the best. Thanks.
  14. I think you are right. I think the young man would absolutely excel and have a higher profile at 3A Anahuac, but in 5A he will be asked to carry Ned to some degree, and its doubtful Ned makes deep runs with or without him. There is a significant speed and talent difference between 3A and 5A ball. With all the hype and speculation that's gone on since last year this was already baked in. Sometimes the best move is one you DON'T make, so I hope he doesn't look back in a few years and wonder what "might have been" had he stayed.
  15. Barbers Hill Game 1: Friday 5/5 at Fulshear- 6:30pm Game 2: Saturday 5/6 at Barbers Hill - Noon Game 3: Saturday 5/6 at Barbers Hill - 2pm ( If needed)
  16. [Hidden Content] California, New York, Illinois losing 10's of Billion$ to Florida and Texas! Respectable, productive, law abiding people fleeing the blue Dim governed hellholes!
  17. It remarkable he won State at age 29, and even more remarkable he celebrated 57 years of marriage. Well done, Mr. Dennis.
  18. Exactly. But the Biden administration and the gun grabbers want every...single...gun seized by the government. They are political opportunist of the worst kind. The Dims quietly love to see these tragic events to justify their agenda. They will blame the republicans and the NRA every...single...time.
  19. I am sure the Mexican national that murdered the Honduran family is a "red hatted extreme MAGA" right? Just like the fine young men from Newton that shot up the prom party? And the Alabama 6? Time to take away all the buck hunters guns, right?
  20. BH 13, Angleton 3 FINAL (in 6).
  21. Typical blue "Chicago like" behavior. That's all.
  22. Is FW and LaPorte is playing a seeding game at Sterling at noon Saturday? Maybe 1-2 seeding is TBD?
  23. Did you know forum rules state repetative PERSONAL attacks are violations?
  24. I am not a "red hatter" at all. I have clearly said this before but you still don't get it. Trump DERANGEMENT syndrome will do that to you. Sorry but I will never vote for a Democrat party that thrives on perversion, immorality, and hate of America. Have a blessed day.
