Man Cal, with today's climate I was just going to leave that one alone. But since you wen there . . . maybe we can pass the collection plate around town and try to come up with a big enough bid for that 5 star freshman they have with the SEC offers?
Here are his highlights

Do we actually need an UIL?
The UIL did a decent job with coming up with a plan to have football this past year. Other states did not get to play.

RBs Jonathan Gray, Jase McClellan, WR JoJo EArle...QB from California...6'6" 285 lbs OL kids just magically appear in Aledo every football season...it's amazing...but, Aledo does not recruit. It's the program causing kids to just move-in. Right.
Go Indians. Peace.
Pretty simple solution. Submit your evidence to the UIL.

Will the slave trade auction the student at Aledo got busted for hurt their incoming recruiting class?
First of all, that kid and anyone that participated are idiots. Secondly, I hope people dont decided to move to or leave Aledo based off what a freshman did. Finally, Aledo does not recruit. So no, what happened wont effect something that does not happen.

It would be interesting if the COOGS can jump right on em and make the game a dogfight just like they have the past few weeks. I just hope the travel, playing at Jerrysworld, and the aura of Aledo isn’t too much.
5, 4, 3, 7, and up next is 2. Never seen a run like it!
1) Crosby had a great start and did exactly this. Took an early lead and even scored again later after an Aledo mistake (running into the punter). Couldnt have asked for a much better start.
2) Based off of the start , I wouldnt say playing at the Cowboys stadium wasnt much of a factor. Crosby seemed like the stage wasnt too big.

I don't know this answer. But here's the question: How many players go both ways at Carthage, Aledo, Westlake, and Highland Park? Just to name a few.
Short answer-it depends
Non-District- maybe 2 or 3 will play rotate in every now and then on both sides (rare). Coaches just trying to see which position they play better. But they dont start both ways.
District- maybe 1 kid will start on defense and get some reps on offense but he is mainly a defensive player.
Playoffs- maybe 2 or 3 of the skill kids will switch sides if it is a big play or a very good team (rare that we move lineman unless its goaline)

I think you always have to throw A&M Con. in the mix as long as Fedora is there but I would take their district mate Montgomery as a squad that could make a serious run with what they have returning.
These past few seasons I'd say A&M is 2nd in disappointment only behind the Marshall Mavericks. Each season I've thought this is the year A&M breaks through but havent. I know they lost a super close game a couple years ago to FBM but they could have won that. But they had poor play calling and execution on the final drive.

@Eazy On another thread you said this " I personally had Huntsville-Aledo in my predicted Final." First question was how do you think the game goes and second how many do yall return this coming season?

Does Crosby start out as the region 3 favorite?

give me athletes over coaching
I'll take the good coaching over athletes every single time. And twice on Fridays.

Nah. Have a good friend who coached in the area and has told me a lot that goes on.
Please enlighten me. What "goes on"?

So did you not want to elaborate on this statement?

You can’t say Aledo doesn’t recruit
What do you mean by Aledo? Are you talking about the coaches? Parents? Kids? Who are the ones recruiting? Maybe the winning does the recruiting. You tell me.

We were supposed to this year too.
I hope yall beat them very convincingly. They have this infatuation with us lol.

Yeah, specifically talking about Aledo and Crosby it wouldn’t have mattered either.
Add it to the disagree column lol.

Wouldn’t matter when you switched them. That’s why I brought up the Denton Ryan vs Cedar Park example. You could’ve switched coaches at any of the times you mentioned above and DR still would’ve crushed CP. Same story with Highland Park who Ryan crushed earlier in the playoffs.
I thought you were specifically talking about Aledo and Crosby.

Crosby was talented enough across the board to make it to the title game. We could’ve switched coaches and we would’ve still gotten stomped.
When would the swap happen? You mean before the game? Before the season? 5 years ago?

For any of those that went to the game, how did yall like the stadium?!
-
How does the Aledo defense match up against the Huntsville defense? Or how does the Aledo offense match up with the other offenses in R3? Just curious how we compare against others in R3.

This won't make sense but I have a couple guesses what might happen during the game. If any come true I'll elaborate after the game.

Fish 50/50
Left- Left footed kicker: I thought Aledo would run a fake punt. They didn't but the sophomore made a great decision. I knew he was one of the fastest kids on the team.
Fish 50/50- Freshman #27: figured he would make a big play or give one up. Y'all scored on him to open up the game.
The other two did not play out Friday. Maybe next time.

Punter was apart of Aledo winning the soccer tournament today

Crosby vs Aledo

Arlington Martin is not a great example, too much distance to actually pick between those schools. Cedar Hill, Duncanville, and Desoto are all closer to Martin than Aledo. Heck, even Southlake is equal distance. You'd have to use a Fort Worth or a county school for a better example.
