You may have a point but I kind of think sweaty athletes may spread it faster than normal contact between students in hallways and such. Not to mention there may be new provisions to limit such contact
 

If it happened I hope it didn’t end up being costly and everyone had fun. Stay safe everyone. Sometimes safety is inconvenient but it’s worth it. Gods will it will all be over soon

What is the purpose of making rude a$% comments like that? Its not the kids fault the parents don't and haven't supported their kids. People like you should step in the lives of one of these young men for a week and then come back and say something sarcastic! You are probably spoon fed growing up.

Floyd Mayweather was the Welterweight champ not too long ago. Does anybody know who the heavyweight champ was during that time? And there were plenty heavyweights who probably would have KOed him but they didn’t get the same recognition because their greatness didn’t matchup pound for pound.

I hate things like this, because there really is no comparison. Two schools from two different classifications and two different enrollments. If we had WOS enrollment numbers, who knows how good or bad we would be? Nobody.  If WOS  had Newtons enrollment numbers, who knows how good or bad they would be? Nobody. It is like comparing apples and oranges, there is none. Unlike CB these are my two favorite schools. Why, because one is my Alma Mater and because both have nasty defenses when they are good. I believe in defenses.

It’s my opinion that Newton is the better program. I don’t have a problem with you believing WOS having the better program. I do have a problem with you underminding the success of Newton’s program because of their classification. If we go by that then West Brook is the biggest powerhouse and I don’t think most would agree with that 

If they’re going to continue popping up with multiple 6’8 senior “move ins” each year they should probably compete against those schools all season. Preseason, district, and post season.

I saw WOS several times and they did have some athletes. They also had a pretty darn good coach. I think the players have to buy in to the coaches philosophy and realize there are some things that will get ya set down. I don’t know anything about their off season stuff but I’m willing to bet there isn’t much emphasis on basketball. I hope the coach stays local 

Not saying WOS problem was the coach because I didn’t see them play this year although I do know they normally have good athletes. Yea bad shots can take you out of a game but lack of confidence and being too stiff will take you out quicker. You don’t fix bad shot selection by threatening to yank players in my opinion. 

I personally don’t think strict limitations on players is a good style of coaching. Limitations are sometimes needed but too many limitations is a good way to have a talented team underachieve. They will never be able to perform freely if they’re worried about being yanked. Gotta let the dogs loose and not try n tame them 

It still hurts but we will be back.  Great season for our kids.

He can be really good if he’s developed properly. Got a few in junior high that might be pretty good also 

Yates would still be a dominant school on either level. Would they win state? Probably not. 6A has Duncanville and 5A has Lancaster. Both are top 25 in the nation. Yates hasn’t proved they can play at that level. They’d probably still win district and maybe make the regional tournament though

Should be a good one. I got Crockett by 2 but seems like Coldspring might be playing with a point to prove so they may prove me wrong. Good luck to both teams
