  1. And you can "rest assured" that losing to Pearland, Katy, etc in non-competitive games will not help them do any better in district either.
  2. I have thought the same thing. Especially when people suggest that Nederland should schedule Pearland, Katy schools and other 6As.
  3. Yes, and because Nederland is playing Silsbee, Nederland will have no chance to succeed.
  4. Is the new coach "good"? What was his record for the "past 2 seasons"? Be interesting to see he gets amnesia and forgets how to coach now. Or whether or not he intends to implement relatively unknown coaching approach of teaching "fundamentals and technique"?
  5. Does not matter who they have for coaches, they did not schedule 6A schools from Katy, Cypress and Pearland in their pre-district. Still seems odd that a similar pre-district schedule did not hinder PNG this year?
  6. He wanted them to play 6As such as Pearland, Katy Schools or College Station.
  7. That is a shame. Sounds like the new coach has no chance to turn the program around (because they are playing Silsbee, WOS, and Lumberton in pre-district). Probably will not even matter if they were to "teach fundamentals and technique".
  8. Hitchcock may not have a team by the time they get to district.
  9. Well, as long as they can find some coaches that know to "teach fundamentals and technique" they should be able to overcome the poor schedule.
  10. Understood. What do you think would have happened if he spoke to Pearland, Cinco Ranch or Katy?
  11. So, you did not participate in the scheduling? It is usually very easy, just pick who you want to play and put them on the schedule.
  12. You have made a great suggestion in that Nederland should find coaches that "teach fundamentals and technique". You should set up a meeting with the staff and share your insight. It is likely that if Nederland coaches were to "teach fundamentals and technique", they could dethrone PNG and Lake Creek. The only issue is that it will be difficult to find coaches that would know to "teach fundamentals and technique". Also, when you were at the meetings on Thursday, which schools were available for Nederland to schedule? The 6A schools and CS?
  13. They are looking for someone who can work miracles.
  14. Out of the schools in the region who were available, which team do you wish they put on the schedule?
  15. Coldspring: 1. Liberty 2. Shepherd 3. Woodville 4. Bmt Kelly
  16. At least no one is dealing with Lufkin district. Lufkin in the district with Cleburne!
  17. No they haven’t “unofficially known”. All they “know” is what has been put out through different publications mock alignments. They have an “idea” and prepare for different scenarios.
  18. Almost every team will have week 1, 2 and 3 non-district games. They all try to fill a schedule. If you wait till after the new alignment you will be stuck with no games or driving a long ways.
  19. As you stated, should be "a great day for Dayton". Looking forward them competing for Championships in the near future. The current upcoming groups should set the table well. Will be no excuses for the next regime.
  20. I know this particular situation well.
  21. Will definitely be great for those who did not like a disciplined program. Only one way to go as far as discipline and it is not "up".
  22. Should be interesting. He is one of the great players of Macarthur during the mid-late 1980s. The alumni base will be excited to have him as the HC.
