Yep. I literally told my son I would go to jail before I missed a single game. And that’s the truth. I think it’s ridiculous. If they can’t accommodate the fans, have it somewhere that can.

Not surprised.  If it was like it was when I went several years ago, they only have bleachers on one side of their stadium and there weren't too many on that side.

For Lumberton’s sake, I hope not. That being said, it’s early. Y’all will get better, other teams will have injuries and then there’s COVID. I’m resolved to being happy that my son is playing football his senior year. Let’s all be happy we have that - that those boys have that - at least for now. Your Bears will be ok. 

Y'all will probably still win district.  We're just that good. 

The biggest victory is all these kids got to strap up and hit someone new finally. 🤣

Lmao. I think many have that sentiment today whether they “won” or “lost”. 

Lumberton had some high points and some low points. As expected. It’s a scrimmage. It’s why you have them. Same as pre-district games. The district play is what matters most from my perspective. Just glad it started. 

As we start the 2020-2021 season with our football and volleyball players taking to the field and the court tomorrow, we need to realize what we have been given.
We have been given a gift......a gift to play, coach, and follow high school football and volleyball.  While some might think it should be a given, other states have shown, whether you agree or not, that it is not.
By the dialogue on here, that gift is a very precious one, but is also a very fragile one.  A gift that can be destroyed by a single misstep by a player, coach, staff member, member of the player's family or even friends or fellow students. 
We ALL know the protocols...not all of them are pleasant...many don't agree with them.  But if we do not follow them and destroy this gift we have no one to blame but ourselves...no politicians, no doctors, no nothing, just ourselves.
I may be the eternal optimist, but I believe in these kids, these coaches and these communities to do what is needed to guide this precious gift along.  Some don't agree with that either, but I have seen some pretty serious sacrifices made to allow this gift to proceed in the past.  Let us root that they will be able to do so this year as well.
And let us all pray for our boys and girls, our coaches, teachers and administrators as they lead us long this treacherous path that is the 2020-21 school year.

Blah Blah Blah, this is it for football.  It's all over with.  This is the end.  Ya'll sound like CNN.  We have to get back to normal.  What are we going to do live in a bubble from here on out.  I am sure this will all go away in November, if you know what I mean.
