1. I was wondering why you dug up this old post! Coach Washington seems to be a good fit. Everything I have seen and read about him says he's a good guy. This PNG fan likes him. May he take ya'll DEEP into the playoffs. GO JAGS!
2.
Having seen the 19-4A teams... There is a big drop off between Dayton and Crosby then the 3rd and 4th place teams, the same is probably true with PN-G and Central. The top two teams are 1st and 2nd for a reason, they are better than the 3rd and 4th place teams. Look for all four top seeds to advance, if there is an upset.... I think it will be from Barbers Hill and GC Memorial.
I disagree. While PNG and Central are strong, don't underestimate Vidor or Nederland. Vidor has some BIG, experienced kids and some horsepower in the backfield. It will take a strong defense to slow them down. Nederland got derailed early in the season with injuries. They have filled those holes and are getting better every week. 20-4A is much stronger across the board than it has been in years. While we usually have 1 or 2 strong teams, this year, everybody was tough. If I were to bet, I'd pick Central and PNG to win. But I wouldn't bet against Vidor or Nederland. Gonna be some good games this weekend!
3. Cool post daddy23 and good game! We're pulling for y'all in the playoffs.
4. Look at it this way. If Lumberton was in 19-4A they may be in the playoffs. BH is in with a 5-5 record and the L-train beat the Eagles!  Oh wait..... i forgot! 20-4A is a weak district. What was I thinking! Seriously, 20-4A was tough across the board this year. I said at the beginning of the season, a couple of good teams will have to stay home come playoff time. Lumberton is one of those good teams.
5. Here is to the 20-4A teams in the playoffs. May you make a MESS of your opponents until this thing is over. Good luck to you all!
6. WOW! What a game! I cant believe the Indians went UNDEFEATED! The Jags sure tried to break the string! My hat is off to BOTH teams. The Jags are the best team we have faced this year by far. As much as I love to see the Indians win, I hated to see the Jags lose this one too. They played with so much heart. Good luck to the Central Jaguars throughout the playoffs. I sure hope I get another chance to see the Jags play. Excellent team with some very gifted athletes.

8.
I finally figured it out.  People think that since PN-G beat Ozen soundly, they will do the same to Central.  I guess you consider Ozen and Central in the same category.  Yes, we both have speed and athletes, but this Central team is the overall better team and it showed when we played.  If you come into this game thinking all you will see is fast and athletic players with sub-par coaching, you will be in for a rude awakening...  If you come to this game, you may be in for a shock if you are expecting PN-G to blow us away...
Soulja, I see where you get this, but I disagree. Central is a much better and balanced team than Ozen. No slight to the Panthers, but I believe Central has better athletes and is better coached.I  think we will see a very good ball game Friday night. Coach Faircloth has gotten these kids ready for each opponent each week and has developed this team beyond almost anyones expectations. He will have the boys ready this week too. I don't underestimate Central, as your team will be ready also. I'll put my money on the Indians though. I hope I'm not as blindly confident (and arrogant  ::) as some of out fans, but you can be the first to tell me Friday night if I am. I hoping for a good game, good sporsmanship and NO injuries on either team. After Friday night I will be a Jag fan too!
9. Last years brawl is water under the bridge. Both teams have new coaches that have shown much more class than to allow that to happen again. PNG has made less mistakes each game. You can bet that Faircloth will have the boys ready. Gonna be a good game.
10. I've got a little different take on this. The outcome doesnt change anything as far as who plays who in the first round of post season play. It would be tragic for either team to lose a starter to injury in this game. Nevertheless, PNG is undefeated and wants to stay that way. Central plays very well at the Babe and wont give up. The game will be emotionally charged, but I hope both coaches make good decisions player-wise. It would be awesome for both teams to go to state with this game being for the bragging rights. I'm not predicting, I'm just saying! Anyway, here is my prediction. Central WILL make some big plays like PNG has not given up in several weeks. The score will be close. PNG will take it by 10 or less. Good luck to both teams in the playoffs. Of course, this is from a cocky and arrogant PNG fan... ;D
11. QUENTIN JACKSON ......HE IS STILL ON HIS FEET!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

13.
I think the band plays Cherokee too much. JMO
They only play Cherokee to start the game, every quarter, on touchdowns, extra points and field goals. Then again on firstdowns, fumble recoverys and interceptions. Sometimes on third down stops by the defense. Also when the game is over. Sometimes they throw one in just on good measure. Other than that, they hardly play it all! ;D
14. Naw, nobody will be calling for his head. You cant blame the coach for what the owner and GM do, although I guess Cooper just got a dose of blame. Mills is about to find out that you cant make chicken salad from chicke sh!t.
15. OK Bulldogs, I hear the Pirate fans saying the same things they said before the PNG game. Dont let the Pirates come and whip you in your own yard! Pull the next two out and take the 4th playoff spot.  I aint bettin on you, but I am pullin for ya! Go dogs!
16. Score early and often. That will shut down the obnoxious coach/announcer and the train horn. Central 49, Livingston 13.
17. This thread makes me smile. BmtSoulja1 hasn't favored PNG all year and wont this week or next.  :) Ron Burgundy zingers and man-love for St. Clair is the bomb!  :D In the end PNG wins this one 32 - 10. The only question mark is the kicking game.
18. BMTSoulja1, I don't see where you are coming from. Since the epic game with Vidor at the start of district, the folks on this board (the knowledgeable posters) have sat up and paid attention. I believe that the statewide publications initially didn't give much credence to Central due to the coaching swap and most of the letterman graduating. There are a few homers on this board that wanna talk smack, but that doesn't carry much weight. I believe Central and PNG will make some noise in the postseason. I'm looking forward to seeing y'all on the last game to wrap up district.
19.
To me this should be a non issue. Change was needed for the program, and it was made. PNG faithful should ignorre this thread and just keep on keeping on......   Enjoy the ride
Ditto... I think I've seen Matt at every game. He has been nothing but positve and a classy guy. Quit trying to stir up trouble. No elephant in the room at PNG.
20. This will be a rough game for two good teams. Here is how it will go down: An absolute war for the first half with both teams putting some points on the board. The second half, PNG will dominate, shutting down the Raider offense and that d@#* horn. PNG secondary will have some BIG plays. PNG wins 30-14
21. Kane has been an awesome player this year. He most impressed me as a 3rd baseman. Nice article about a gifted athlete.
22. I'm pullin' for the Dogs in this one. They will win by a TD. Here is my official prediction: The Livingston announcer will get on your last nerve! "Quentin Jackson with the ball! He's still on his feet!"
