1. If the Pirates cant handle BC, they will suffer against Kirbyville. Good luck to both teams.
 2. Things looking good in Bear land! Congrats to Coach Crouch and the Bears!
 3. I dont know how many balls Merk bounced off his recievers hands and chests. Merka needs more help to win. He cant do it by himself. Bad snaps and untimley penalties killed any momentum that Crosby tried to get going last night. That is not to take anything away from the Indian defense. They looked much better this week. Good luck to the Cougars. I hope y'all rebound and dominate 19-4A. I look for the Indians to get better and show us more in Texas City. Scalp 'em!
 4. C'mon Jake, You know that the PNG faithful will ALWAYS pick the Indians to win by 3-4 touchdowns. You are right about the Nederland program and Coach Neuman. They will find a way to get it done. The G-P team was well disciplined and well coached. It was a good game that could have been a W for the Indians. That is water under the bridge and the Purple are haungry for a win. I llok for them to take it out on Crosby tonight. Good luck to your bulldogs too. I think you will see a better Nederland team than you saw last Friday against WOS!
 5.

I dont understand the reason for the post either, but I'm in. There are no pedigrees in my family. On this board I'm a Purple Indian anyhow! I guess its still OK to call Cowboy lovers Romosexuals?  ;D  By the way, this post makes me miss censored Vitale!  ;D  ;D
See, I'm an "Indian" from a different "reservation" (Ysleta High School in El Paso), and the saying we always had, and have to this day is..."Once An Indian, Always An Indian"
I might have heard that a time or two....  ;D

 8.
Alright, alright, I should have got on here and replied yesterday, i have to admit, I was in denial.  I'm here now to take it like a man.  My new prediction is 9-1.  Hahaha.   I love the way PN-G played.  I feel like we let this one get away.  The turnover that led to a TD for GP at the end of the first half was killer.
Glad you came back and posted TexAgNDN! You started this thread and really got the haters going! I do agree with your new prediction, but admit it will be tough to attain. We will not see a team of G-P's caliber again until postseason, so it is possible. The Indians will have to make some corrections and step it up a notch or two to make it happen. Scalp 'em!
 9. There you go FF! Helped you with your karma. Its the least I could do after all the work you all have put into this thread. This will be a fun re-read on Saturday morning! Good luck to the Mustangs! I'm pulling for WOS, but I wouldn't bet on them. I will bet that this will be a great game!

 11. Faircloth will make adjustments. Indians are hungry for a win. Merka is a very good quarterback but he doesn't have a team around him like Gregory-Portland. Indians 35, Crosby 24.

Love it or hate it, it's a beauty.
I haven't seen it in person, but was much impressed after seeing it on the news last night. Beautiful facility! I am proud for the Beaumont schools and kids. They deserve it!
 14.
Kinda funny reading most of these predictions now.
In retrospect, this thread was a fun read! Butt Kicking Store and all. Congrats Bears!

 16.
At the end of the day PNG blows out LCM...Mark MY Words.
I have to agree with Thunderlicious, except that I AM a PNG AND an LCM fan! Actually, I'm an LCM grad that has lived in the PNG district for 25+years. The LCM program is on the upswing. Coach Crouch is turning this program around and has some fabulous players to work with. However, do not underestimate Coach Faircloth and the Indians. This should be a blowout. BUT! On any Friday night, anything can happen. I hope for a fair game and predict that both teams will make the playoffs. How is that for straddling the fence?
 17.
we will see how good png is this year because the team that was there last year was really barnetts team,so we shall see
Nice first post. Any other pearls of wisdom?
 18. Excellent article Gabe! And a fine young lady too!
 19. From the past persepectives, Dave Cambell ranks the teams mostly by the number of starters returning.. His focus is usually around the Dallas and Central Texas areas. It is good reading and i do enjoy it, but most of the folks on this board have a better idea of what is in their district than Dave Cambell does.
 20.
PNG had a good year and they are good but even with Kane Benoit, I did not see them beating Brenham.... the bottom bracket of the Playoffs were easier... just look what Nederland did... and Buda Hays got smoked by Brenham... Crosby has given them their best challenge yet... Great season by PNG though.....
hitman, you are probably spot on. I do think PNG was one arm short on the mound to make a difference though....
 21. It was a good call. The ump called 3 or 4 balks this game against both sides and different pitchers. That is the most balks I've seen in a high school game in a long time. The Indians played thier hearts out, even as they were running out of gas. The Higgs kid from FW came in and threw 5 innings of shutout baseball. Congrats to Friendswood and good luck the rest of the way. Congrats also to the Indians for a wonderful season.
 22. I still think that the biggest problems lie with the owner and GM. McClane doesnt want to spend money at the right times and Ed Wade hasn't shown me much. Maybe Bob Watson and Gerry Husicker set the bar too high, nevertheless, I am not impressed.
 23. I'd like to trade Ed Wade for a beer vendor. Mostly I'd like to trade owners. Not gonna happen for awhile. Just a wish....
 24. Per this silly article on Fox Sports. See it here: [Hidden Content] 4th most irrelevant maybe, but most hated? I dont think so. Not even in the NL. Maybe 4th most hated in their division? This article has them more hated than the NY Yankees! I should have been a sportswriter. I can come up with better crap than that!
