Staying positive is half the cure.
Yes sir it is. I've been having anxiety attacks. And when I can't take my medicine (at work), I close my eyes, take a deep breath, and pray.
"Father thank you for blessing me with the strength to remain calm. Protect us all from the unseen evil that threatens to destroy this great temple that you have provided. Indeed we will overcome all obstacles."
It helps.

I am tired of being quarantined. it could be worse so I try not to complain. It could be worse.
Try to stay positive. Are you still feeling good? No symptoms?

@baddogI hope more people will reconsider the impacts that their actions. If you want to be lackadaisical, you have that right. Just be considerate of others that may be highly stressed.
For example, my boss walked up face to face to me this morning. I said "whoa man 6 feet." He didnt seem to care. Then got pissed when I turned and walked away. Wonder how he's gonna feel after he has a discussion with HR.

Kevin Smith has three Super Bowl rings to Earl's one. Isn't that the gold standard in the NFL.
In my opinion, SB is a team achievement, HOF is 1 person. If kevin Smith was drafted by the bills, he would have zero. And if earl was drafted by the browns... who knows? I will say this, kevin wasn't even the best athlete on his HS team. Just the one that the drive to make his dream a reality. Again just my opinion.

Little Earl gets the nod because Smith was a Cowboy.
Has nothing to do with which team he played. Earl will be in HOF. Nuff said

Yep , it was dangerous for sure.
Reminded me about the bumps on that old I10. And that it seemed like a hour to drive to Beaumont. I guess it used to be 55 mph

There wasn't the divisions that were noted then. They did finish #9 in the nation in the USA Today Top 25 in 1987 and the ESPN Scholastic Sports America (all schools). Knocked off Aldine MacArthur, the #5 team in that poll and the #1 team in 5A (which was the largest classification in Texas) when they played.
Man, I remember those 1st 2 games against the aldine teams. I was only 6, but those guys were huge. I thought we were playing the Oilers. Good times, great memories.

I could be wrong but I think the 87 Stangs did that. WOS Grad probably could confirm that
87 Mustangs started the season ranked #6 in state

I apologize, which question? I think I answered them all to the best of my ability.

You still left my question unanswered. To answer your last one: We should have shut down international travel when this began 8-9 months ago.
Well dont I feel stupid? I thought it started back in December?
But yes I agree, should have shut it down much sooner. Or at least funneled returning american citizens into a single quarantine location. I'm reminded of the scene in the godfather, where Vito corleone was in quarantine at Ellis island. Not allowed entry then tested.

I actually have a different theory on why this started and who started it. It’s probably more complex

We all know some people live beyond their means. But I believe you are seeing how much this epidemic has affected the high class as well as the poor. CV is blind to race, religion, and paycheck amount.

Really? Sarcasm much?
They sent home 1 person last week, and 3 before lunch today. So when the 1st coworker falls deathly ill, and the govt has to support thier family. I'll make sure...

For essential employees who are still working, DO NOT USE THE WATER COOLERS. They took away the coffee pots, but I've seen a lot of hands on the water coolers this morning.

International airports are the hubs for CV entry into the US.

I got two weeks off work as of the end of Friday a week ago. This past Monday I went to a COVID 19 screening location here in Houston. I stayed in my car, in line for 10.5 hours, from like 7:15am until 6:05pm.
Long story short I received a call this past Thursday at 6pm. saying that I tested positive. So I am quarantined for sure. I can go out in the yard. Mostly I stay inside. I am not complaining. I read all the stores of other people and what they are going through. It could be worse.
The stream of the worship service for my church comes on in 1 1/2 hours or so. Looking forward to that. Happy Sabbath.
Sorry to hear that. I have a family member in Spring that has self quarantined from 2nd hand exposure. She has no symptoms and can't get tested. Just waiting for results from the person she was in contact with. Can't be too cautious. Any idea how you caught it?

And some of us, deemed essential infrastructure, will continue to go to work for the greater good of the general public. Without any government handouts, hazard pay, or attendance incentives. Business as usual... production and profits over employee health and well being.

Would someone explain the difference between "lockdown" & what we were doing? The single family member at store is a significant move, but what else?
Btw, went to Vidor Market Basket today & I sit in car while wife went in. Only single customers were entering. I'm encouraged folks are following this directive.
Unfortunately, not everywhere. How can this possibly be enforced by retail workers? It can't. But its more of an order for the shoppers to be responsible.

From the article
Orange County has requested a mobile hospital like the one established here after Harvey. Gothia said Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas owns the vacated hospital on Strickland Drive and the county cannot use it.
He said local officials have been in contact with the three hospitals in the area, including Baptist Hospital Beaumont. No one has offered the Orange facilities.
