Skipper, Kicker, WOSGRAD, Gasilla and all of you other WOS fans have safe journeys across the bridge tonight and I wish your Stangs the best of luck. It always makes me proud to play such a first class school and its fans. May the best team win and Ill be saying a prayer for no injuries tonight!!!!! 

The others have entered because folks know that WO-S and PN-G, a couple of storied programs that have state championship trophies in their school trophy cases, will not shoot as each other (other than the dude that predicted the 60-14 score, folks, get that man some counseling!).  For about 3 hours tomorrow night we will be mortal enemies with the only mutual hope that everybody stays healthy.  But by midnight, we will again stand side by side.

Going into SC game he had 2253 yards passing. 29 TD's and 6 INT.
If I remeber correctly, 5 of the 6 INTs on the year were in the playoffs with 2 in the SC game. pretty dang good numbers for a Sophomore that was supposed to be on JV the night before the first game. Kids a baller!

From what I see in our kicking game WO-S should go for two after each TD.We got to get this fixed fast.

BG how could we forget about the State Game?  You learn & build off your mistakes (learning experience) but how many non Mustangs Fans paid money to come watch us play?Hmmmmm.... I can beat you're the prime example.... Lol....  I not gonna be like others & say @ least we made it to State!  What a great experience for our community and FANBASE!  State Finalist in Football and Baseball 

I'm all for change to doing what may be more effective on offense.  However, a move of this magnitude this week might not be advisable. 
Coach Crouch is a smart man and if he saw something that caused him to move away from an offensive set that he called plays in for about the last 10 seasons, both as OC and HC, it must have been pretty major in his mind.  So major that he not only changed offensive sets and philosophy but also switched which side of the ball that he and his coaches would be concentrating on.  So major that most of the time since LCM's last game, the Bears have been working on the Slot-T offense and working on the spread, at most, sparingly.
To junk all of that and switch back to the offense he was not confident enough in to work on all of this time and possibly signal another upheaval in coaching duties among the assistants the week of the opening game would seem to be a recipe for confusion on offense.  And if I might be so arrogant about my alma mater, one of the last defenses that you want to be confused against is WO-S' defense.

Well that kinda confirms what I heard from someone that was there. Just wanted a 2nd opinion.

No need to place the blame on anyone. The pick was just miscommunication. That being said its the QBs job to make sure they get his audibles. Those 2 will make many connections this season.

Can't wait until the 28 of August. A STAR will be born, just don't know which kid it will be! Every year there is a kid that rises to the top! This Team is full of STARS & PLAY MAKERS, just gotta make a name for themselves! From what I seen Friday, once this team starts dominating in the trenches they will be a site to see! 1st & more most like Tee said it starts with the O-Line. They done a great job protecting JD3 Friday! They didn't give up a sack & JD3 only had to scramble out the pocket once. An when he did the pass was drop in the inzone by you know who #4 (had to be my kid) Once the O-Line starts sticking to there blocks a little longer in the run game, WOS will be well balance. Not too worried about the ÇHAINGANG they're gonna be THE CHAINGANG like always, flying around getting to the football.  All in all, its gonna be a exciting season in MUSTANGS COUNTRY! 

I heard we had 430 yards of offense. 130 rushing and the rest passing. It was a good test for WOS and a pretty good start. 

​I hope LCM will surprise alot of folks too, just not WO-S!

Still not a fan of the slot T offense they went too but we shall see.

One thing nobody has said yet is that the scrimmage versus Vidor will help WOS. Leg up on defending the slot-t. 

​Because if the coach has knowledge that a youngster is moving for athletic reasons, he or she is supposed to say so.  The misconception is that the coaches in these cases who flagged players only did so to be vindictive because the players were moving out of their program.  I am quite sure that Coach McGuire and Coach Miller, if also asked would have mentioned that they have not flagged players who left their program when those players gave no indication that they were leaving for athletic purposes.  Everyone here knows for a fact that Coach Thompson has as at about this time last year, his starting quarterback, a young man who be in his senior year this season at WO-S had he not transferred and currently has double digit FCS major college offers, transferred without incident.  
There may be coaches who feel the same way that you do and won't flag a player.  However, if a coach is going to be vilified for filling out a form in compliance of UIL rules, then maybe it is time to completely do away with the rule.  If the Mustang program has done as much recruiting as some folks on this site have claimed, then it would seem that the WOCCISD would greatly benefit with the demise of this rule.

I agree. Let it be.

After a 2 year absence, the SETXsports Football Team Previews will be returning on July 13th.  I was a little late in getting questionnaires out, so I had to push it back from the usual July 1st start date.  But they will be going out four per day starting then.

​Well remember last season many people thought the exact same thing when DSC left... We know how that turned out. We truly do reload at WOS. Im sure there will be some kids that come out of no where and become stars. Happens every year it seems.

Damn good season. Damn good athletic year for boys sports at WOS. Kudos.
