1. For Girls HF  1st BC  2nd not sure who got third
2. It will be HJ AND OF at the top easily.  HF lost significant seniors last year.  Only 1 significant senior and 2 significant juniors for HF are returning and they have no significant size coming back.....maybe some JVers.  And one of those juniors seems to have lost heart for the game.  SO i will say the 3rd spot is up for grabs this year.
I remember House. Yes he is the all time leading scorer in Texas high school history. I believe this list takes in consideration what a player did during and after high school, i.e. college and pro. As for House scoring, I have seen his numbers and saw him play in state tourney. I believe you put many players in his position on those teams and given the opportunity to shoot as many times as House did, you would see someone else at the top of the all time scoring list. I really wasn't that impressed with House and his game. Played zero defense (which showed up in college) and in that semifinal I saw him play in Austin, he attempted by himself a total of 49 shots!! All he had to do was convert just 25-30% and he scores 25 or more points. I have no problem with House not being on this list.
very true.....

8.
HF lost 4 seniors, but will have alot more size than last year.  Unfortunately only 1 sr who played any significant minutes last year, so VERY young......
but is that size significant....
9. don't be surprised if another team takes that 2nd place finish in 21-3a from HJ.
10. You have to remember Yates and Central (im assuming, so correct me if im wrong) play the same style basketball.....  Now here is where coaching and experience pay off..... Central playing a team that is more discplined and fundamental and slow the pace down....can central coaches make adjustments against different styles of play.
11. both HF and HJ lost key starters this past year......HF especially.  HF won't have any size.

13. my "move" comment wasn't intended for anyone specific because it happened when i was in school.  I was part of that 98 99 hf team.  our 7th and 8th grade year we had a record of 25 - 3.  We had a 6'6" 350 big man that could move, 6'5" big man, 2 6'3" wings along with good guard play.  our freshman year me and one of the posts moved up to varsity while our freshman still had a record of 27 - 1. ....thats 52 - 4 in 3 years,  but after our freshman year, one guy moved, another got into drugs and moved, another died, another got into a bad car wreck and couldn't play anymore.  only 2 starters from those years were still there as seniors.
14. i believe Hamshire Fannett won its only District Championship in 98-99 season....not alot of tradition there. probably could ve had more if we didn't have move outs.

You won't get any arguments out of me
all these teams are in SETX.... your definitely sippin on somethin it'll be between central, ozen, and nederland.  Nederland has the experience, central is young and quick, not sure what ozen has.
17. thats what i was told......  what i was told could be wrong.
18. i was told by student that Atwood is on varisty at Central.
19. i wouldnt have high expectations of Boyd.  lets see if he can keep his grades up and his attitude and lack of discipline in check. Anybody know where Atwood off of last years 8th grade king team is at?

21. i go with the first philosphy Was the qb rotating with the 2nd and 3rd string qbs?  i believe i know the answer to this, but if im wrong let me know.
22. that is true...  but learning all skills makes you more valuable are more productive.  a 6'4" guard can post up vs man in D1 if theres a slight mismatch and he has good post skills.  So what about 6'8" and above kids.  If you learn the skills and can perform them in a game and be productive on a consistant basis, you may have a ticket to the NBA...because it is so scarce.
23. i always believed in the inside out approach to a game.  It also gets the team in foul trouble, gets your team in the bonus, and its free points if they can make FTs
