I haven't seen a list but have been told of a few names that applied.

Any discussion of Crosby football coaching that does not include Ronnie Davenport is bogus.
As for potential candidates, they will get plenty of quality applicants.
I don’t doubt that for a second
Would be curious to get a list of said applicants

Yes
That makes things a bit more interesting and perhaps not as automatic at the other aforementioned candidate

What's the latest on Kountze?

Did BC ever find a guy?

There are two front runners. Assistant at Dickinson and assistant at Jasper.
Brother of Darrell or the other brother of Darrell?

If Lumberton can afford it then I’m sure Silsbee can.

We’d all be amazed at what school districts are willing to spend money on

Any idea of some early front runners?

So, we’ve opened some kind of Flan vs Rio wound. Any chance we can move on from that and refocus toward potential candidates?

i was surprised when i heard it also.
it had something to do with wanting to stay old school and tough.
i guess he thought having too many fancy things make you soft.
The surface on which athletes perform does not cultivate toughness.

I can’t and will not understand not supporting the youth of a community. Sounds like the bond heavily supports CATE/STEM programs. Obviously, the improvements to the stadium benefits football, but is also helps boys and girls soccer, marching band, drill dream, cheerleaders, track meets for multiple levels, etc.

Officially open now. Guess we'll see if Riordon is actually interested in this one.
According to Matt Stepp, Riordan has officially resigned at Crosby

True. Get the right coach in and start winning and you'll get a lot of those kids to turn out. Winning solves a whole lot of problems.
All the problems

I will never understand it.
Every College Baseball Coach I get the opportunity to talk to, says the same thing. They prefer kids who also play football. They talk about the weight training, and how football player better understand the importance of lifting. They talk about mental and physical toughness. They talk about those kids being better teammates, because they are not as selfish. They talk about more disciplined athletes because of the rigors of playing football.
I just don't get why parents and high school baseball coaches don't get it. Football is great for developing better baseball players. Anybody ever heard of Kyler Murray? Deion Sanders maybe? Bo Jackson possibly?
Why not both?

Back in the day with Dishon and Sparks, they had stud stickball and football players. Pretty sure Claude Tarver was the Head Coach in those days.

If I were a betting man, I'd put my money on the candidates in closer proximity to La Porte. Crazier things have happened, though.

I’m sure there are a few Houston area coaches with ties to that part of the state

Is it still just Head Football or did they attach the AD spot to it?

Couple of local coordinators, and a couple of guys from the south part of the state. I don't know any of these guys coaching backgrounds, but I thought a 6A Houston job that has had pretty good success might draw some bigger names.
side question: Is San Antonio Jay the school that the players targeted the referee in the back a few years ago?
I believe it was

Danny Shapiro would have

The new upgrades could attract some candidates from the Golden Triangle and possibly the Eastern side of the Greater Houston Area.
